Cheers BA CC

I would just like to say well done to the BA crew who flew me from Heathrow to Amsterdam on the morning of 18th Jan, about 0830.

I’d just arrived from Sydney with Qantas and was tired, hungry and after not getting any breakfast a bit grumpy.

Got on the BA flight and was met by a happy smiling crew (not the miserable condescending lot that I remember from not too long back). We were served a hot sandwich, which was very welcome. And after several informative announcements from the flight deck we arrived about 10 minutes early.

I know most of you strive to get this level of performance all the time but I'd just like to say when it all goes right it is a pleasure to be a customer. Thanks. :ok:

You've also earned a convert back to BA as my airline of choice when possible.

Nice to see a thread that is about something positive for a change. I don't normally swing in this forum but maybe some CC out there can let us know how to go about responding positively to excellent levels of service.

I heard that BA CC can be nominated by pax for awards and used to get things like a bottle of bubbly or M&S vouchers. I've filled out dozens of the in-flight questionnaires but have never had any feedback. Is a nicely-worded letter to the CSD or Ops Desk the way to go?

As main CC at LGW for BA I think its nice to see the positive being reinforced for a change and believe me when I say I can probably talk for most of us when I say its nice to be appreciated and thanked once in a while especially in person. So if you do receive what you think is good service tell the CC in question on the day. Other more formal ways of thanking include speaking to the CSD on the day. They can, along with the other crew members, write what is known as a Bravo Award. This is a report filled in to highlight good customer service and is placed on your permanent record in recognition of this fact. Another way is to write a comments card which you can get onboard and either freepost or hand to a member of crew and they will hand it in for you. You could also write to BA Customer Relations as well who will pass on your thanks to both the crew member and their line manager. Plenty of ways to make us feel more valued and believe me that goes a long way in our job!!!
:ok:

As a Purser for BA why not write into Customer Relations @Waterside or the next time you fly ask for Comments card as All Aircraft carry them or even at the Customer Service Desk in the Terminals. It is always good for crew to hear feedback especially good feedback !!!!!!

I will do in future. As for the crew on the day, well done, sorry I didn't know at the time how to show my approval to your benefit.
