Thanks Flyblue !!!!!

I commute on Eurofleet Gatwick and the guys and girls there absolutely love it!!! They work hard but they play hard.

The schedules on Euf LGW are very changeable from season to season and you get some great trips. Think the best there at the moment is a LGW-DUB-LGW-ABZ on day one, day two OFF in ABZ and day three is ABZ-LGW. Then that's the end of your duty. Cushy little trip, me thinks.

You'll hear a lot of people saying bad things about Euf LGW, but don't listen to them. Go there and make up your own mind. It's a fantastic fleet, a great base and a great bunch of people!

Enjoy, and welcome to the company.

Hi matey Welcome to Eurofleet LGW
Their are many nationalities at EF LGW ranging from British, Irish, Dutch, Spanish, French, Portugese, Italian, German, Polish, Australian, New Zealand, American, Canadian, Barbadian, Bermudian, Jamican, Indian, Muslim, So many Nationalities.

You will get good rosters as well as bad flights, which depends on what you bid for, heres some examples:

Some Crew bid for their and backs which could be - Algiers, Hassa Massoud, Pristina, Domestics, European ( thats their and backs 2 sectors)

You could do double (4 sectors) LGW-NAP-LGW-JER-LGW,
LGW-PSA-LGW-NCE-LGW, LGW-DBV-LGW-MAN-LGW, LGW-DUB-LGW-MAN-LGW, a few too mention

2 day trips can either be 4 or 6 sectors
LGW-VCE-LGW-TLS(N/S)-LGW-JER-LGW, LGW-NCL-LGW-NCL(N/S)-LGW-GLA-LGW or even LGW-AMS(N/S)-LGW-AMS-LGW, LGW- GLA(N/S)-LGW-EDI-LGW
OR even get 3 day trips which can include layover days in Geneva, Hannover, Aberdeen, Bologna, just a few to mention or you could bid for 4 day trips that can change destinations.

Must advise you that you will get long days and short days. And with the new routes being launched but not a nightstop its good for staff travel and especially with the single fleet in the pipeline who knows what is going to happen.

If you need any info send me a message
safe flying !

Seeming as some LGW crew are reading this thread I'll mention this.

I'm only a normal passenger with Blue status who reguarly travels in Euro Traveller, yet every time you Gatwick guys & gals are absolutely fantastic - great service every time.

Keep it up!

eddy,

when you coming up to mothership? its's getting a bit tiring keeping up LGW traditions on ma own!!!

not as many pools to fall into! ha ha!

oh yeah, LGW is ok, great crowd as its not such a big base so you really get to know people. Fair enough its not part of mainline but things are changing and the one fleet idea is still doing the rounds which will give a good mix of long and short haul flying! All i can say is you should never knock anything till you've tried it!

why do u say eurofleet LGW is not mainline??.....what would that imply?

thanks for all your posts!!

Eurofleet LGW is Mainline but without NSP (which will be explained to you on your course), you will be on a BA PLC contract.
Whens your course?

It also means that in order to get to Longhaul (Unless the mixed fleet comes into LGW) you will need to go on a waiting list for Eurofleet LHR and then wait for another transfer list to Worldwide LHR! Could take a long time!

Willie's Plans

Hi guys,
Have just returned from a trip to hear about W Walshes plans for LGW Eurofleet. Have only heard rumours such as, taking a crew member off the 737 (am sure that sounds familiar to EI crew) and also that if LGW EF is not profitable by 2007 it may go completely. If any of you have any confirmed facts I would love to hear them and not rely on good ol galley fm.
Cheers guys!

Could anyone telll me if BA are recruiting CC at the moment in Gatwick?

Also, do you have to do euro before you do worldwide. I heard there is a direct entry to worldwide. Maybe wrong!

Do they have an upper age limit and what languages are required?

Many thanks

it still doesn't mention about direct entry into worlwide. Is there such a thing or is it a myth?
