VA Part Time?? Any others?
 

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if Virgin take on crew who want to fly part time? I'm looking to go back into flying but can only do part time hours( I have a 9 month old baby.) Any other airlines who do?

Unfortunately VAA do not hire part time crew & there is a long waiting list of existing full time crew who want to go part time too!

I don't know of any airline that takes on part time crew as new hires - someone out there may know different though!!

I believe Excel & My Travel Airways still offer new recruits part time contracts & possibly Astraeus too. I applied & got direct intake SCCM on a 5 days on/9 days off P/T contract with Excel Airways during 2003/4. Its a nice little number & just doing short hauls on the B-737/757 fleet was very civilised. Excel also offered me a permanent P/T contract at the end of last year but I had decided to leave the industry by that time
