age on cabin crew

Hi folks
just a small wondering...
does anyone know if it's possible to start a career as cabin crew ones you've hit the age of 30? I just turned 30 and am thinking of applying for Emirates...
I have worked within the hospitality sector for 10 years, am a trained swimmer, worked in reception on cruiseships and ferries, speak 5 languages, have a certificate in first aid training from the red cross, have certificate of safety training from the ships and i have lived on 4 different countries....
Do you think they would mind that i'm not 21? Does anyone know anyone who started flying late?

Thanks for answering!

Hi!! I am not sure about EK, but I know for a fact that your age wouldn't be a problem for BA at all. There are lots of boys/girls who have just started here who are much older than you (I mean late 40's!!)
Give it a try!!!

Good luck

FBW:)

I guess it depends on the airline.... At Australian Airlines we had a guy in our last training school who was about 50... Had not flown before

Hi

i flew with a guy the other month who at that stage had only been flying about a month and he was in his late 40's and was a farmer who wanted a complete career change!!!! Unfortunately though, he's still dealing with a lot of pigs, haha! I don't know about Emirates though? i've heard they won't hire "older" people?

Age?

Sixty eight is nothing, I ran into one that was seventy nine!

flybywire 30th May 2005 09:13

I, at the age of 25, was the oldest girl at the EK assesment yesterday. Very off-putting! :(

ages

Hi

I was 34 when i started flying and one other lady was 42 on my course - I prefer to fly with older crew much more fun ! ;-)

EK do have an upper age limit - try the European Airlines much better to work for in my opinion...

good luck
