Cabin Crew Commissins
Hi all,
I am interested to know how the airlines pay CC their commissions based on inflight sales. And whether there is a preferred choice if any. Thanks |
BA cabin crew get a commision slip at the end of their operating sector(s) and have the choice to either cash it in or have it paid into their salary. we also have the choice to "save" up the comm slips and then cash them in all at once but only upto a month in arrears.

Excel crew get 8% of total sales shared between the crew. Good on the longer flights with cigarettes and alcohol ie; SSH Total sales £2500/100 x 8 = 200/5ccm = £40 each.
Don't get anything for comp bars tho ie; special charters or delays which is a bit annoying! |
Britannia crew
britannia crew get a varied amount.
we have a target revenue per passenger to achieve, and then a bonus revenue to achieve. if we achieve the bonus, we get 8% for everything. but if we only achieve target, we get differing amounts for different products, i.e. one percentage for perfumes, one for cigs etc. we do however still get commission on comp bars! |
Hi
At Thomas Cook Airlines we get 12% of the total revenue of all on board sales and then it is shared out between the 6 CC on board. It is then paid into our next months salary - really boost's salary if on Long Haul or non EU flights. |
