How Often Do You Work (Summer/Winter)

I was just wandering how many flights a month people are doing at the moment and the differences between Charter/Scheduled and Low Cost. Also interested in the summer/winter differences

At XL the most flights I have ever done is 12 in the summer and an currently averaging about 4 for the winter seasons

Thanks,

Hi

I work for a lo-co and for the month of December i have 40 sectors and i also have 10 days leave in that !
Quite a few 4 sector days, but don't mind, bring on that wage slip :O

it could always be arranged for you to work every sat and sun on chambrey, with associated nitestops and taxis. it would increase your current work load by about 150% and your income , via duty pay by about 2%.

Make the most of it, trust me its better than slogging in loco for a few pennies more. Last year i worked flat out all year for the first time in the uk. Didnt make much more dosh and prefer the quiet winters.

Fyi ,if you are on the 767 the long haul trips are far beter than 90% of ba worldwide lgw trips. Week in goa ,week in mombasa, etc, not much of that about these days.

Spare athought for those of us stuck on the 737, where the only perk is first choice of hosty,oops i mean crew food;) :ok: :}

At BA Longhaul LHR I seem to average about 4 trips per month. Out of those one is generally a back to back, one a long range, and the other 2 could be middle east / US nightstops or an Africa.

Sometimes if I have mostly Africa or US nightstops I can get in 5 trips per month

Over in the land of Red and Silver, my December rosta is quiet.

5 night LAS (Las Vegas).

1 night MCO (Orlando).

and 3 lovely days of SBY (Standby).

YYZ/BOS 6day
TLV 3day
DEN 3day
CAI 3day
24hrs standby unused. 3day

low costs..

Silly me under the mis-aprehension that winter would be quieter! Alas 60 sectors, minimum rest and nearly all 4 sector days like MRS/VCE! Lovely!
Oh well! Its all good fun and as someone else said..the paycheck makes up for it!

Happy flying everyone..nearly time for the xmas boarding music! :ok:

xx

dicksynormous - i wasn't having a moan about my roster, i was just interested in how hard people work at other airlines.

I'm also short haul fleeted so don't have trips and doing an extra chambery would actually increase my workload by 100% and allowances by 50%. Cabin crew, well i guess everyone needs all the money they can get before christmas.
