QF AKL Addecco now Jetconnect
I have a friend working for Addecco based in Auckland flying QF Long Haul. He has been advised that he will now be employed by Jet Connect the NZ wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas. He was also advised this would improve working conditions, staff travel and promotion to on-board management positions.
After reading www.faaa.net which states Thai based crew are being trained for CSM it looks like this will also be happening out of Auckland in the near future, meaning once again less opportunity for permanent Australian based crew to apply for upgrades. |
Inregards to CSM positions...
Hi there Galleyhag...
As an AKL based crew member... i also recieved the letter... It did not guarantee anything about promotions within the cabins... It just stated that we will be getting better work conditions, and maybe opportunities to furthur ádvance' within the cabin crew structure- this may mean anything... but it is going to be very interesting times ahead. All the best and safe flying Cheers |
So does this mean Jetconnect crew will work mainline aircraft as well as their 733s ?

Hey there,
I have no idea what it means for Short Haul crew... I think, and dont quote me, may mean that short haul NZ crew can transfer to Long Haul, and vice versa. As i said, its going to be very interesting, but our contracts transfer over in January. Cheers Mikey PS: Its going to be sad leaving Addecco, as ours managers are some of the best around...they will be missed alot! |
