Guys/girls,

Don't ever turn up at an airline interview/selection day in casual dress.

Britannia - great people - great fleet, great company and one to be proud of. Good luck and see you online soon.

Cheers,

starship

Ian,

Do you think that something might be telling you that Cabin Crew is not the career for you?

From your other posts I know already that BY have rejected you 3 times, as have MYT.

I would give up mate!

Or try AEU, I worked for them for a season to start me off, they take anybody really.
No offence, but you have to start at the bottom and work your way up! They are still recruiting..

Ian, don't give up - loads of people apply to airlines for years then one day get in.

If you are that determined, keep trying and one day I am sure it will happen. Try all the airlines though and don't just go for one as not all airlines have the same criteria.

Good luck and PM me if you need anymore info.

Sammy - Shut up!!! You dont have to start at the bottom at all. If you aim for the bottom thats all you'll get.

Iain - keep going. maybe your a little too young and 3 years ago when i was your age I was sooo keen like you so its good to see you're an eager beaver. PVT message me and i wil send you my email address and i can give you a few airlines to apply to and help you a bit.

Was it a good recruitment day? many ppl there? many ppl get thru?

Keep smiling.... you wil get in ... when you are 19 then theres about 10 more airlines you can apply to :)

Thomas :)

HI Ian

I must say listen to Thomas and the others and ignore Sammy he sounds like a ****. To say to someone that it isn't the career for you is so damn rude, and to give up to.. well how dare he!!

Don't ever give up, you sound so sweet and determined you will get the right airline for eventually.:)

All the best Ian xx

Hi Iain!

Don't listen to Sammy she hasn't a clue.

My best friend had previous cabin crew experience and applied to many airlines including MYT, BY, MON, TCX, EZY, BA and VS didn't get in with them after going to all these interviews. She is now proud to be working for a fantastic charter airline doing both short and long haul and having a great time.

Keep trying mate and show them what you are made of, and let us know how you are getting on!

Hi Guys,

Just for your info, Ive worked in the aviation industryas crew for years, and am now happily employed, still, as cabin crew.

I was just purely saying, I would be demoralised too after so many rejections, but AEU will take people at an early age, so why not get some experience with them first?

Iian, I also used to work at Woolies, and then moved onto Crew.

What I really meant was, there are more things to life than crewing, you could work on the ground for a while, or be a Holiday Rep!

I worked for Thomson overseas for a while, really good for experience, plus you get to go on the BY planes on airport duty bcos its Thomsons airline...

Just an idea,

And also im a she, not a he!

I felt the need to register following SammyHosties post. I can't believe anyone could be so negative and dismissive of someone who obviosuly wants to work in the aviation industry so much.

If you want anything hard work and enthuasim will pay off eventually. It may be wise to try applying for ground handling agents to get your foot in the door (Aviance, Servisair/Groundstar, etc) and if you get a job working for them you get airport and airline experience, you also get to find out a little more about the airlines and how they operate, etc!

Guys, if you really want a job in aviation you CAN get it. My friend has no experience in aviation, is 20 and had a great deal of enthuasim and he recently got a job with First Choice Airlines. I also had no experience in the industry and little customer service experience and I got a job at an airport working for a handling agent, where I had a great time, but decided to return to my studies after a fantastic few months there.

Keep trying guys, you will get what you want if you really want it :D
