BA L/H routes ex LGW?

Can anyone please tell me the routes currently being operated by BA long haul crews from Gatwick?

I start my training course on the 24th Nov, and want alittle heads-up info prior to starting @ cranebank!

Thanks.

I think the main destinations are America and the Carribean...That's what the lady who was doing the presentations said anyway. There may be more, but they're the ones I know of.

If you go to the BAA airport site, you can select "departures" by airline. departures Searching this will tell you that BA go to - Antigua, Atlanta, Bermuda, Bridgetown, Dallas Ft Worth, Grenada, Houston, Kingston, Orlando, St Lucia, Tobago and Tampa from LGW.

This should do you, until someone who works there gets back to you. :ok:

Thanks Newscatcher - great news!

But if their are any crew from LGW going to these places, can you please tell me trip durations and allowances etc...

LGW Worldwide fleet layovers as follows.......

KIN 2-3 nights
BGI 1 night
ANU up to 5 nights
BDA up to 3 nights
ATL/MCO/TPA 1 night
IAH 2-3 nights
DFW 1-2 nights

no layovers in UVF/TAB/GND........

BGI/ATL/BDA/ANU trips can be combined to make a "Back to Back" trip with a night in a hotel or at home at LGW in the middle up to 8 days duration. The ANU trips sound great but you won't get more than1 clear day off there & most trips you end up doing there & back shuttle trips to the other islands every day.

Not being funny JB777, but dont u think u should get the training course out of the way before u start going on about the standbys and trip payments etc ! A little premature maybe?!!

Happy Flying!

Thanks for your message STARBUX
I'm just so excided about the whole BA thing, that I have hundreds of questions! Can you blame me, with a company so large - it's alittle Intimidating plus it's going to change my whole life forever!
I'm also living hours away, by road, and i'm checking if the roster pattern is compatable for commuting once i earn my concessions!

Nice to see a fellow flight attendant looking out for another trolley dolly, feeling free to offer advice and guidance!
:hmm:

PS. I was born to fly happy:D

Hi JB

I know what you mean by wanting to ask lots of questions as I will also be starting training course soon.

With regard to commuting, it is possible I live in the North East and will be able to connect with flights down to LGW.

I already work for BA so have concessions, but I think you only have to wait 6 months, which will fly by literally.

Have heard from another source, that on most long trips you get three days off after! Great for commuting home, by car or concessions! If true of course?
good luck @ cranebank,

Hi All,

Just wanting to know if anyon has heard what the training schedule will be over xmas.
