QR CEO/cabin crew

We just got to know that AAB has asked all night clubs, hotel bars and discos in doha to stop giving discounts to all cabin crew,in an attempt to stop crew from going out.this is not confirmed news, however what does AAB think of himself? our "GRANDDAD"?

Guys out there,got any news/comments?

If you value your sanity, don't even think about it. Just have a good look through these topics, everyone who writes about QR doesn't do it cos they're bored, we're trying to stop people like you still in the free world to not make the mistake we did.
Do yourself a favour + steer clear

Are you still flying with Qatar? How long have you been there and what is it like now? If you don't like it, why not leave and try somewhere else?

Jenny,

Yes, I am still flying there.

Answer to your question:- DO WE HAVE A CHOICE?

we have been made choiceless by AAB,by informing most airlines not to recruit QR staff. he also threatns crew with his "ever pionting" finger, that he will make our lives missarable if join another carrier.I did apply to EK, and first question the lebanese recruitment officer asked me was if i am still employed with QR. when said yes,she said sorry!!!!coz QR is interfering too much when its crew apply to EK.

Plus now my age does not fit the requirment any more! haha

I see that you are posting from Dubai. How can you be based in Dubai and fly for Qatar at the same time?

And, yes you do have a choice. If you want something badly enough, you should go for it. Don't wait until it's too late. I successfully left QR and joined EK. I too am in the training side of the business and I am surprised by your comments above. We at present have 11 cabin crew who joined us from QR. The cabin services training manager also joined us from QR. And one very high profile purser with QR is also joining EK next month. I have seen his name on our incoming systems and we even got letters of approval and recommendation from QR for this guy.

Stop putting people off by suggesting that they dont have a choice. They do.

Jennie,

I have come to understand that you do not know what you talk about.

You neither worked for QR nor EK.

You get your info thru friends who work for air lines, you read/see and hear things.

The training maneger (MT) and instructor (SW) you mentioned resigned and joined EK, due to personal reasons, I agree!!

The 11 or so crew were either terminated, resigned or jumpedship and then joined EK.one female member of crew joined due to sexual harrasment by the top. (news for you ,isnt it?)

As you mentioned, SW ,(being the one and only to go to EK from training side) was never an instructor at QR, and she is not an instructor at EK either.but an ACCM!

So Jennie, before you talk and pretend next time that u know everything and u are from airlines, get your FACTS right!!!

Jennie,

Let me also tell you,...It is EK policy not to disclose internal details, even thru a forum like this.

If you really insist you are EK training staff, let me tell you,you did not do your job well and, "YOU HAVE LOST THE PLOT,GIRL"

Next time, be carefull, not to get cought!!

Gulf_crew,

I am not debating this point with you; I trust you,SW did training for you.

Also look at it this way!.....

The snake (SK), is the training maneger "now" at QR.however at times of need due to shortage of instructors,he does training.

Hasnt it been the case always at QR? people come, people go !
QR hires, QR fires!

Sure, SW did training for you during such a period.

BUT SW WAS NEVER AN INSTRUCTOR AT QR!
