Virgin CC recruitment
Daughter did all of the assessments last July - September and was told she was put in the " Pool" - since then has heard nothing other than a quite blunt answer to an email in the beginning of December. Admittedly is does say " dont send emails" but I dont know how the hell you plan your whole 2019 life ( including giving current employer notice) if they cant / wont tell you anything ?
Anybody else experienced this ? What is best to do ?

As Virgin have already stated, it's best not to email. They will contact your daughter (Probably soon), when they have allocated her to a course, and cabin crew courses generally speaking run between January-June, unless of course like some airline like BA/Ryanair for example run all year.
Don't worry about notice, they would have asked your daughter in her interview what her notice period was, and will stick to that, they generally allocated courses no less than a month in advance, so she will have a months notice.
Best thing to do? Nothing, I completely understand how difficult it is and how impatient you can get, but there is nothing you can do other than wait for them to get in touch.

Think the OP is referring to Virgin Atlantic and not Virgin Oz

Just to confirm my enquiry was regarding Virgin Atlantic UK - still heard nothing and I read somewhere that they run courses upto April / early June - can anyone confirm this ? ie nothing after June ( which presumably would mean some sort of notice given in late April / early May?)

They simply run courses until the quota of Cabin Crew they need online has been filled. Should they not manage to fit you into a course this season, they will put you top of the holding pool for courses in 2020.
