Were winning, blah blah blah.

Keep the faith, blah blah blah.

BA given in to all our demands, blah blah blah.

BASSAwitch, how are those account enquiries going. Keep up the good work.

Swales you will soon find out.

There will be no more strikes as there will no need to be. The end is very near and the company has given in.

I also hear that some senior heads will roll and all the sacked will be re-instated. That's right your nemesis once again a CSD.

Staff travel is back in full with a compensation ticket with a higher priority than anyone else, and payments for lost earnings.

Mixed fleet stopped and the ones integrated.

BASSA to be apologised to and recognised. Agreements to be re-enforced and strengthened.

I'm hearing complete victory.

You lot have been shown up and disgraced and you will never recover from this.

It might have been some good trolling but you went too far. For people to really get annoyed and rise to your bait you would have to put something unpalatable but believable up for consideration. Sadly, as I enjoy a good bit of trolling, you put nothing in there that is believable - it's all unpleasant but there is nothing that COULD possibly be true. Good marks for the correct use of nemesis. Well done.

Your right, there will be no more strikes as they are a complete waste of time and inaffective.

DH back a BA, hell will freeze over before that happens and everyone knows it, even you.

Heads rolling at BA, who's going to sack them? Willie Walsh, the guy who is still in charge of the whole ball game. Don't think so. He's got less than 50% of the cabin crew to deal with, why should he. Game, set and match to the wee Irishman I think.

Your bull may work on other people but on here you will get short thrift and be laughed all the way back to the BASSA forum. You do seem amazing similar to the guy on Crew Forum who launched a tired of foul mouthed abuse to get the thread pulled. Can't see it happening here.

Anyway, you have made me laugh today, so thanks.

You will see.

This victory will be talked about for generations as an example of union strength and unity.

The Socialist Workers Party are already calling this the greatestr display of working class power since the suffragettes.

Our great leader DH will be a revered figure in history and there will be books written about BASSA and DH.

When the UK is a republic accountable to the people this will be looked back upon as a turning point.

Up the workers
Viva la Resistance
KTF.

Victory is upon us.

Best we make the most of the comedy show as I suspect the whole theme will be pulled shortly, unless the Mods fancy a giggle as well.

I'm glad that you are amused. Enjoy it while it lasts because fairly soon you will be in shock.

The company have now realised that the solidarity of the workers is unbeatable.

Poland witnessed this as did East Germany. Socialist values out weigh all others and miltants will always prevail in the end.

Those of you who follow your spinless "association" will soon see that a joint approch to industrial relations will fail and militant hard line unions are the only way to go. Our glorious victory will confirm this.

Ultimately the workers will bring down this government inspired by BASSA. Everyone I spoke to on the march was in awe of BASSA, BA cabin crew and DH.

"A beacon of socialist ideals. An inspirtation to all the working classes subjected to oppression from these institutional thugs" was a comment from a prominent union leader to me. Made me swell with pride.

Blimey, I didn't know that the government was inspired by BASSA. Not only is this thread funny, it is also informative.

swalesboy - you are right.

Have you wired my remote control to the mains? Thats the only shock I would get.

Maybe Piraya winning the Grand National? That would be a shock.

How about Wales winning the world cup? (And I am Welsh by the way). That would definately be a shock, no, a miracle.

By the way, weren't the 'Militants' in Poland and East Germany in the majority? Not just 40%ish.

And who will pay for this socialist utopia that you so passionately describe? Surely not the unwashed that do nothing except march around beating their chests? Might that mean a bit of hard work tilling the soil in one of Londons bourgeois green spaces? Could you cope with a full days labor?

A number of posts by Crewfriend, Sporran & essessdeedee have been deleted, and the three of them are on a week´s sabbatical.
During that time they may remember how they signed up to a rule that says:
  • No flaming/personal attacks. (Play the ball, not the player.)

BASSA latest

The latest comms from BASSA Strike Command

BASSA - Latest News BASSA STATEMENT Apr 8th, 2011 by admin

Firstly, please accept our sincere apologies for the lack of updates this week; this was not deliberate but a prudent necessity.

Please be assured that there currently is no need for concern, though concern is of course understandable. Be reassured, things are happening behind the scenes involving your senior BASSA reps and the highest levels of BA management, it is the first time this has happened, it is tentative and exploratory, the fragile first green shoots if you like of a possible peace; it remains a fragile peace, but it is encouraging that there are even signs. There is a long, long way to go, but everything has to start somewhere and we would be irresponsible if we did not at least play our part in allowing this to be given oxygen.

Mr Williams brings with him a different perspective, and we intend to give him the opportunity to solve this dispute if we possibly can.

This will not be at any price.

As cabin crew, we still have ten points of dispute between British Airways and ourselves; these still remain and must be resolved.

Strike action is still very much a tool at our disposal, AND LEN HAS STATED THAT HE WILL NOT HESITATE TO ANNOUNCE STRIKE DATES, IF REQUIRED.

However, as long as there remains a possibility of achieving that without resorting to strike action, then obviously that must be the preferred path.

Every opportunity will be given to British Airways to join us in that aim.

We totally accept that it is extremely frustrating for you not to hear specifics, but please bear with us a little longer, we know what needs to be solved and your reps will be directly involved in trying to do so.

This does not mean that we will be successful in this dialogue and the fact that we have remained fairly silent, communication wise, does not mean strike action has gone away, it has not, far from it, but we hope you will see the sense in exploring every opportunity first.

A cynical view could be that this is just a stalling tactic to delay any action until after the Easter holidays, but we do not believe this to be the motivation, we will accept these approaches as genuine, until proven to be otherwise.

We will update you further after the weekend but for now, enjoy the sunshine and let us do what we do best, look after you.

We haven’t come this far to let you down now.
Hmmm, I think they're being played.

Actually a cynical view would be to ask... WELL WHY THE HELL DIDN?T YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE? We would have had a better result, you and tens of others would still have a job, and none of all the unpleasantness of the last two years would have happened. Hang your head in shame DH!

Probably because they spent all their time beating their chests and telling us all how tough and uncompromising they were. Turns out they're a paper tiger who most definitely couldn't ground the airline. Crew are better off without them.

Now that they've had their thumping they want peace. Maybe BA will let them live to fight another day but then again, maybe not. DH will fade into the background and be a legend in his own mind only once again.

The end is nigh.For BASSA.

Um... anyone else note the interesting use of tense in this latest missive ? My reading of it is that BASSA reps have not been involved yet - hence the 'will be' which I suggest is aspirational rather than real. Sounds to me like BASSA have been excluded whilst the grown-ups talk. When they have reached an agreement BASSA will be told the outcome. Expect Len to do a repeat of Tony Woodley back in 2007. I'll wager that Unite will agree a deal. It will be along the lines of a new facilities agreement, return of staff travel and maybe something on the sick pay. The price will be that the sackings stand, Mixed Fleet stays, arbitration only on cases which arose directly from strike action - so none for gross misconduct, bullying and harassment etc. Staff travel is reinforced as non-contractual, oh and both sides drop any court action. May also include that Unite reforms the two branches.

I also think that they are softening the membership up for a massive climbdown. The statement about not being successful is very telling.

Any sign of those accounts yet BassaWitch ?
