TOM738 Banjul 26th December
I hope someone can help please? I flew back on the above flight in to Manchester on Boxing Day evening, landing around 22.45pm. Unfortunately, i my haste to get off and back to Newcastle, I left my Sennheiser headset bag and MP3 player in a bag on my seat (8A).
People we knew followed us off the aircraft and handed the small black bag in to the air hostess at the door but I've checked with the lost property in Manchester and the bag hasn't arrived there yet. Is there anywhere else the small black bag could have been handed in to please? I tried ringing the Thomson desk and was told to go back to the lost property people.
Many thanks.
ps the whole crew were tremendous and a credit to Thomsons.

if we find anything on the a/c it would have been handed to the agent (servisair) the i/b crew to manchester are normally LGW based if the dispatcher has run off !!it would normally be given to who ever closes the security doors once all pax are gone, best is to try and contact servisair at manchester and see what the do with lost items.

Doit, could you please contact me via pm (I've sent you a message already) as both Thomson and Servisair are getting no where with this. It seems that no one can remember who gave what to who.
I'm now being contacted by a young lady from Thomson asking for details of who to approach next. I did mention this thread and that you'd witnessed the package being given to Servisair.
Hope you can help, please?

Just a thought, have you tried lost property at Terminal Two?
This is where we used to drop off any unclaimed items.
It is within the luggage showroom on ground level land side (arrivals hall).

Don't know what the procedure is at Manchester, but at Gatwick any lost property we are given is put into a safe in the office provided by the airport Lost Property. They come and empty it about 3 times a week, sign for the items they collect and take them away.
Did the crew get a signature from the Servisair agent who took the lost property? We are encouraged not to take any lost property unless we and the crew member both sign a form to confirm what is being handed to who. When we put the item in the safe, we sign another form and get that countersigned, so there is always a paper trail to follow for any valuables.

Yes, I've tried the lost property on several occassions without success, unfortunately.
It just seems to have hit a dead end between Thomsons and Servisair. The paper trail has dried up.
