Congrats to all the crew who participated in the Evac and Casa Flights! Our airline is forever in your debt! We're on the home stretch now.

So comfortable business attire is the dress code for training.

Sounds like that would be suit pants, leather shoes and a shirt? No tie, no jacket.

Pay

Hey,

Was wondering what the general vibe amongst crew is about the salary, being that it is actually quite low.Has it been said that it will be increased annually? Here's hoping there will be plenty of trips to go around to earn some extra allowances!

Cheers,

Good Luck Guys

Best of luck with V-Australia, I hope Sir Richard looks after his cabin and flight crew, who will then in turn look after Sir Richard's customers.

For those thinking about joining V Australia, I say go for it.

There will lots of opportunities for everyone when the other 777's arrive.

Wow!

Hey guys all the best for V.
But WTF was the launch about. Did it happen. I am sorry but who runs your marketing and PR department? Or has Branson lost his touch?

When our A380 arrived in Sydney the SMH had a front page devoted to it and it was on every channel. You launch a brand new airline, with a party that includes Sir Richard Branson and ...... ?? Most people think that he wa here to launch Virgin Active.

I wish you all the best and hope to run into you guys in LAX, you'll love it!!

Sadly the day the new aircraft arrived in Australia there was something else on the news and front page of every newspaper.

A death count of 200 and the worst disaster in Australian history (in Peace time).

I did not know when your aircraft arrived. And yes that is a very sad association. My question was about the launch that one of my Qantas colleagues attended on an island in Sydney. I was on a day off on Friday and eagerly watched the news and searched the papers. The only thing hat made it to air was the Queen Mary.

I have been going to LAX for nearly 20 years and if you find it a dump, good for you. Myself and most of my friends love LA. The shopping is great and it is a great place to party when you know the place and the people. But I suppose if you have to sit in your hotel room, on your own, because of your outlook, well then it would be a dump. For these guys most of whom will be experiencing their first long haul trip and who are excited and with equally excited new friends, LA will be a blast.

I'm loving reading these posts.... it's flooding back fond memories of the launch of the now third-most recent international airline that took place a few years back.

have fun all

Anyone from the first flights let us in on how many paying PAX were on them and how it went in general.

I understand what you mean now It is quite weird that it made no news, not even the celebrity pages in the weekend papers. Quite weird.

The SkyNews video can be found here Video - The Courier-Mail
