Interesting to see that it clearly varies greatly from airline to airline! In my airline its not a statement as I said, its a question. One to which unless a reply is forthcoming there will be no take-off!

Its just a warning in mine.
We don't accept the line up clearance unless we have been told cabin secure.
Its a bit cheeky to be waiting for a cabin secure after you have entered an active runway.

It is very interesting to find out that different airlines have different procedures just before take off. When I started with easyJet, I thought they were all the same. But I've gone over to help the ex-GB Airways crews integrate into EZY and found they have very similar practices to BA. Which is good to know, as I've just got a job with BA WW

WOW!! It really does vary in each airline.. I was thinking about leaving my airline for another one, but I dont think I have the room in m head to change all the ding dong meanings! J/k..
In my airline the DING DONG is an audio alert to inform CC that the CSM/Purser whatever u want to call them is making an Interphone call to all crew stations. After taxiing this ding dong is a phone call to insure all doors are armed and cross checked.
The same just after u touch down.. except its to ensure doors are disarmed and cross checked!
