30,000 dhs...................that's more than an F/O is getting. And that's with 350-400 behind him, not under him!

Time to change jobs me thinks!

Hey
What does everyone think of the new one liner regarding tea and coffee when seat belt signs are on???

I just flew BA and it was interesting to me to see how much stricter they are then EK when it comes to safety on board!!

What's wrong with being French ? Is it because of Air France working conditions. I'm French, and happily working for EK, and I do a lot of hours too ! It's true thoough, we're only 150 compared to indians or koreans...

when i was at the open day the girl from ek told us that if someone is very very rude to you or insult you, or call you snapping his fingers, you can't say anything to him, because "they're customers".

and if someone hits you??? can you do something or not?

if someone hits you then that becomes a self defense issue and have the police arrest them once landed for assultiing a cabin crew member.

Pax can be as rude to you as you let them. Grovelling at their knees in prescribed Ek manner will only encourage them to do so. Acting like an adult will not.

If they hit you, that is grounds for restraint, and any purser/captain ought to know this and act accordingly. Any who let pax assault their crew has no business being in their position.

Crew managers get paid very similarly to Pursers, but with a better housing allowance, thats all.
They earn this money by telling crew ethey are unavble to assist them in any way shape or form, that they have their hands tied, although they would like to know why you had so many sick days (6) last year.
They are more commonly known as CSI's - Crew Sickness Investigators, as this is their only posssible function these days.

CSI Dubai -whhhhoooooo are you? whhhooo-oo whooo-ooo?

CSI Grisley is on the case, a crew member dared call sick. Check for finger prints on the phone's 2 button. Check for GSR (Going Sick Regularly), check for semen stains - good god, how did they get on the ceiling??????

It looks like Horatio Cane will have no choice but to delay your upgrade (don sunglasses)... indefinitely.

Exellent post! Sadly: true!

Some of them are nice but they usually don't provide you the information you want and don't support you. Sorry, later, sorry, maybe, sorry I cannot do anything...

Very disappointing!!!

Luckily, I have the pleasure to work with people like you who make me laugh on the flight!

I have been hearing the rumours regarding ATH and DME becoming turn-around trips - no official confirmation yet however. News about HBE and DUR is new to me.

A380

Hi Guys, been reading a bit about the A380 not currently EK crew but thinking about leaving my current airline. Will the A380 have dedicated crew that will only operate this aircraft type?

Hi Chris. Yes, the EK A380 will have a dedicated set of crew. One must apply for the position. If selected, you will be on the A380 for two years with the option to return to the rest of the fleet after that period. A380 operations are scheduled to begin in August with flights to JFK. By December the aircraft will also be deployed on the LHR sector. Early next year will see the commencement of EK A380 opeartions to SYD and AKL.

Now they even work during weekends at ETC, I sometimes feel sorry for them.

Will the new CBC at EKHQ be ready within 11 days ? Any bet around ?
