Hi Jenn,

Again, sorry for the late reply, I dont check PPRuNe that often, and I have just been on a looooong trip.

Of course I don't mind you asking me questions...

You now only have to be 18 to join Virgin as cabin crew. It used to be 19-32 but the law changed earlier this year making it illegal to discriminate against people due to their age. So the age limit is now 18-retirement age. I have flown with a few 18 year olds, and and also some older crew (who are fab to work with )

I've been with Virgin 3 and a bit years, and as for my favourite destination... its SO hard to say because I like different places for different reasons. Some of my favourite trips are...

Las Vegas because I just LOVE Vegas. I think everyone who goes there either falls in love with the place or totally hates it. I love the nightlife there as well as the heat, going to Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon and just enjoying the different hotels on the strip.

San Francisco for shopping, night life, the golden gate bridge and alcatraz. Its also a really well paid trip in Virgin.

Hong Kong because its a 9 day trip and it barely involves seeing daylight at all! (Its a party trip).

Cape Town for the beautiful scenery, the beaches, the food and wine, the beautiful people and the lack of time zone change from the UK!
They are my personal favourites, but everyone varies, and the great thing about working for Virgin is that you can swap any trips you want on our V-Swap system (which BA do NOT have!)

Oh yeah, and I nearly forgot to tell you, I printed out the page from you 1st message and found that girls drop file, so whenever shes next into work she will get it!

Hey Virgin Boi ..

Don't apologize .. and i just want to thank you for answering my questions!

Only 3 more years to wait then before i can apply and hopefully get the job .. and i've now got a job in a customer service industry - shop like you suggested

Wow you get to go to some great places! It sounds amazing! Do you get busy rosters then often or are they quite varied?

I've seen some training pictures of an ex-virgin cabin crew. Do you HAVE to sing a song to Richard Branson then and family and friends? I know she did.. looks fun anway!

Thank you so much for doing that.. i really appreciate it. My parents (and me) did e-mail customer services as she gave us the details but nothing has come of that we don't think - no reply or anything.

Hello Jen! It's Emma again.

You haven't PM me back so I thought I would post on here as I'm pressuming you will visit this forum again. I was just wondering, for the ultimate test now, would you go back on a plane as a passenger? Or would you wait until you become a cabin cabin crew? Do you think you're fear will come back?

2 more questions sorry ... Would you only fly with Virgin after you're experience? Or would you consider flying with another airline?

Emma

Hello Emma . I have been busy sorry doing coursework

Um.. well I think I would yes as the more times the better I will be on th aircraft the crew told me! Yes, I would still love to be a cabin crew member.

I would fly with Virgin again as they got me onto the plane, without them I wouldn't have even got on the plane or the part where you walk down onto it! I am not sure if my fear will come back .. or whether it has totally gone.

Yes that is right, I was just curious. Go for it girl! You can serve me anytime.

I hope you liked the pictures. Speak to you soon as I'm off on holiday now. I might come back on later to see if you are on here.

What a lovely story. Its given me a warm feeling. I flew Vs something or other into vegas & back from SF. It was good. But the problem is, in economy, theres no empty seats to lounge around in! the planes are packed. With reason clearly.
