Hi Everyone

I feel so ashamed going to Emirates interview where they pick all chineses in Malaysia. He interviewer from Malaysia half Singaporean. When u feel not right about the way the pick potential stewardess... SPEAK UP.

just out of curiosity, did anyone went down to dubai personally to submit their cv and get called for an interview, either in dubai or anywhere in the world? thought of getting my friend to submit on my behalf, and if i get called up an interview, i can purchase id90 tickets to travel to dubai for the interview.

Sundaybrunch,

I know someone who flew all the way to DXB from America, paid full fare, applied and got in. I`d say, go for it!

I bought ID90 tickets myself to attend an OD in another country as EK will never come to mine. I also got in.

Good Luck

thanks Flyrules!

i saw in emirates career page, they seem to have an assessment day in dubai every other week. so does anyone know how long it takes for them to arrange an interview for you after dropping off the cv, since i need at least 2 months ahead to apply for a ticket there. and is the whole interview procedure going to take 1 day?

I believe that it takes a couple of days, but then again, I'm not sure if they make any exeptions when people come from over seas, if I were you I would apply and if they invite me then I will ask all those questions, but some how I don't see it happening all in one day.

Sorry for not being much of a help here.

Good luck !!!!

Sundaybrunch And Flyrules

SUNDAYBRUNCH,
IF YOU REALLY WANT THE JOB, GO TO THE NEAREST EK RECRUITMENT. I DID.MOST OF PEOPLE IN THE FORUM DID TOO. IT IS COSTLY, I MADE SEVERAL TRIPS DOWN TO MALAYSIA. I LIVED I HK.

FLYRULES, THE ODD PIC ARE FOR GCAA, not US VISAS,READ IT IN THE PAPERS GIVEN DURING FINAL INTERVIEW.

hello Sayang, i went to my final interview in KUL in May, There were some malays/Indians. so pls don't misinterprete if you were not chosen. People were not chosen for many reasons. some unexplained. EK has more than 100 nationalities, very little space for race discrimination here if you like to join EK, so try again in 6 months. good luck, happy to help if you need any info

Dubai Open Houses

Can anyone inform me on how crowded (if so) the Dubai OPEN HOUSES get? I know that the ones in Australia get pretty busy, now does it get that busy in Dubai? Will it be easy to get noticed if I attend an open house in Dubai?

regarding flying out dates and training:

As I've mentioned before, not crew myself, but daughter is.

My daughter's been there 11 months now. When she started EK, she left on September 8th last year, a Friday, and started her training on the Sunday, Sep.10th. I'm sure people who are crew with them can give you better info but just thought I'd pass on what happened when my daughter joined. If there is anything that i can help with please feel free to ask.

Wishing you all the best for your future career with Emirates, and good luck to all who are waiting for calls.

having trouble with joiner form

I just received my medical/letter of employment email and I am trying to log in on the careers website to do the Joiners form on the selected applicants section, but the link there hasn't been working.. Anyone else having trouble there?

Also on my letter of employment/contract, my commencement date says the 28-Sep-2007 but the date of training on page 5 says commencing the 27-Sep-2007 - a day before my actual commencement... Obviously they've made a mistake there with dates right?? Cause my work colleagues contract says commencement 12 Oct with training start date of the 18th.. a few days afterwards....

I'm so overwhelmed with the amount of documents there are!!
