Where would you even start to answer that question.....

But judging from the size of the "to do with EK" thread, there's no shortage of bimbos or poor people who won't listen and will take the jobs.

Read through the above thread, now and then you will come across mentions of the truth and be amazed at the lack of interest by those who will soon regret.

Hi there,

just finished a year with EK. so am talking from personal experiance! one of the main reason for me comming home was that living in Dubai was like living in a concrete jungle...don't get me wrong...fantastic for a holiday (am going back in a few month)...but missed the UK lifestyle. also found you end up living and breathing work. you live with crew, socalize with crew, go out were crew go and then fly with them. all great people, but gets a bit to much.

think its the kind of lifestyle you either love or hate. If you are thinking of applying...i'd say give it a go. Wasn't me long term, but got to see some fantastic places, have some great memories, made some great friends...but don't regret leaving, just wasn't for me.

By the way, the bimbos were few and far between! seen more working in the UK, and seen/heard more bitching in 7 months than i did in a year over there...

As these are anonymous forums the origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the press may use it, or the unscrupulous, to elicit certain reactions.
this forum may be a greath source of infos but at the same time it can be a source of "mass disinformation"
i thik that this forum is not the right way to find out "why so many people are leaving emirates". probabyl the best way is to talk with the people who leaved emirares (as many as possible) on private.
cheers!

Juli21, I do not agree with you , this forum can be use for many reason and motives, one is to get information, I just would like to find out why so many people are leaving EK.

I went the other day to close my bank account in Dubai and the bank teller told me that I was the 07th cabin crew on that morning that was closing the bank account due to resignation.
She ask me why so many people are leaving? and I could not reply to her because my point was not a general point.
What I would like to find out is a general view, of why so many cabin crew are leaving EK.

Please continue with this forum and try not to divert it.

Shukran.

If you think many are leaving EK you should see the line at the banks in Abu Dhabi of EY employees leaving.

Its slavery in no uncertain terms.
Worse when you are paid half of what you colleagues are getting at EK for the same job.

I just have to say multiple reasons...

EK forgetting what made them popular!
Crew forgetting what they liked about the job in the first place..
Dubai forgetting why people choose it over so many other cities..
And in general people always thinking the grass is greener on the other side..
(and this applies to both company and employee!!)

And a final world Dubai isnt always what is shown or percieved to be... and can be a rude awakening to some!
