Well i have worked for European on and off for the over the last few years, its a great company with great people, however not a great deal of flying at present........As for them getting TCD back who knows, at European life is like a box of chocolates never know what is coming up next!! So if you can afford not to work very often all well and good, best of luck and look forward to seeing you on line soon.

i am starting with them out of the bhx base

i do hope to see you on line. alot of my friends from aae worked for them and they have said how fantastic it was but they are still very bitter on what happened last year. they seem to have enough work out of bhx for the summer they showed me the flights which they had already confirmed and their is a couple of night stops so hopefully fingers crossed i will like it. on my contract it says that my temp cotract will be reviewed in august i am hoping there may be a chance of me getting permenant as there is only 20crew operating out of bhx. hope to see you soon. xx

I have worked for EAC before, i started in 2003 and loved it, unfortunatly i got laid off in march last year, but i went back in July this year for a few months temp work, and im not going back full time as of April 2005 and i cant wait, like flyme says, its a fab airline the crew are the best ive ever met out of all the airlines ive worked for in the past. I cant fault them! Im looking forward to gettin back online, however am MAN based so may not fly with any BHX crew.... but this us European so u never know!

BHX Base

From what i am lead to believe all BHX crew will only be 737 rated however who knows, as for TCD coming back i cant see it in the near future as our 2 good 747s are in CDG doing work for Corsair and will be until the beginning of next year, all i am saying is dont get your hopes up that you will go onto the 74......
I am MAN based so hopefully see you down in BHX, if i am not stuck out in CDG forever.....

my sincere opinion: No ofense, but you must be crazy if you accept to work for European!! Good-friendly crew BUT the rest of the company is: HORRIBLE UNRELIABLE DISORGANISED ETC ETC.

How can you compare Air Atlanta Europe with European!!?? At least AAE aircrafts are able to take off!!

The whole fleet (747s and 737) is almost to old to fly! Those 737-200 must be retired next year... ´cause of the EU legislation (too noisy).

By the way, I know what I´m talking about. I used to work for European.

you might no what your talking about but i used to work for the shoddy aae. european might be just as bad but hey all the companies are about the same now. aae treat their staff like crap and dont give any consideration to anybody. no offence but i have to give it ago. if i dont like it then i can always leave.

If anyone wants to know anything about European Aviation Air CHarter, PM me and let me know.

I was one of the 560 crew that got "Sacked" without pay, notice or any form of conslutance. I really enjoyed my time there April 2002 - March 2004. But if anyone is thinking of working for them just bear in mind that if you don't mind working where you have no job security then go ahead.

I am still fighting for the best part of £10,000 pounds that I am still owed from this cowboy outfit and there is alot of other ex-crew that I am in touch with that are still owed similar amounts of money.

The company is operating under the protection of a CVA (very similar to the american Chapter 11) and by law is still not supposed to be employing new people to fill positions that they made redundant.

This airline is a very saw subject with alot of people and there will be alot of people like me (who were stuffed by the company and I have had my fair share of financial problems after I was effectively sacked by this company) that will post on this thread.

If you need any information on the company then let me know, I have nothing to hide regarding this company.

There is a website similar to pprune that has been set up by some of the former employees of the company that if you PM me I will give you the address for it as I don't think I'll be allowed to post the address on here - For the real truth on EAAC then look at the other site set up by the ex-employees.

So that's it, then, no more B737-200s after 2006. But exactly which piece of EU legislation is that then? And while you're telling us, why not tell the CAA - because they don't know of any piece of legislation, either existing or pending, that would ground those planes....

which is why the 737-200's of EAAC's fleet are being sold to OZJET (oddly enough another Stoddart company) and going to Austrailia. He is transferring his assets so he doesn't have to pay the money he owes to the 560 crew and staff - Paul Stoddard = B@$7@~d.

Sorry, I' m not a lawyer either, but you're wrong. There was EU legislation that would have banned hushkitted aircraft from April 1 2002, but it was scrapped as a result of pressure from the Americans. There's nothing out there right now to stop hushkitted aircraft from flying on.

Devil

chill out london i was also stuffed by european! and dont exagerate its not 10,000. european can recruit under the cva for bhx as it wasnt a base before so no one was made redundant from bhx. As for the comment earlier about how can you compare european to air atlanta, very easily i also had the unfortunate experience of working for air atlanta last year and may i say it was far far far worse than european!!!!

For anyone who is considering going to EAC... go for it!! at the end of the day u can only make your own mind up, different things suit different people!
Personally i prefer flying only a few times a month, i love not knowing whats next... ive been to some amazing places with EAC that you wont get to with your run of the mill chaters or sched airlines! Ive been based on a temp basis all over the world! and im only 22!!! ive been to more places in 2yrs with EAC than most poeple will ever see in their life.
Try your 6 months contract, and if you dont like it, leave! you can only try. Half the people i hear comparing EAC to AAE have never worked for both, they are just going off what other people have said, and we all know how reliable that old galley FM is dont we guys! you cant complain if you havnt tried it, personally i love it. EAC has its downside as do most airlines, ive worked for 2 other charter airlines and i still end up back at EAC as do most of the crew, its a cushy number with fab crew... yeah the money could be better but i bet even the crew at BA say that!

Give EAC a chance, it was bad what happened last yr but guys we really need to stop being so bitter now and GET OVER IT!!
London jets as for having nothing to hide, why are you posting an anonymnous post on a gossip website?
Mind you i think we all know who you are anyway(!)
Alex, give eac a shot, the crew are fantastic and hopefully when the CVA is over we can move on and get back to normal.
I hope to see you online soon x

hajjie - Like you say most people here know who I am. the question is, Am I really that concerned or do I care if people know me? Erm No not really, but thanks for bringing it up anyway. You have always been such a thoughtful person even when I was at EAAC.

Yes I admit to being a bit bitter about what happened last year but then most people still are. We'll see what happens at the tribunal eh?

For those still at EAAC that I knew and worked with best of luck to you all. As Mr D. Bell is back and running the show, things have to be on the up for the company.

But my previous comments still stand about the airline. I wouldn't be surprised it it all comes to an end sooner rather than later.

hi i hope to meet some fantastic crew on board. i am starting the training course this monday. after all it cannot be as bad as the aae company. i have got to give it ago. if i was to turn it down and they do carry on and get bigger then i would have missed out. it was shocking what happened last year but i honestly do think it will pick up and be a sucessful company again.
