*LIAT: Leave Island Any Time.
*GULF AIR: Get Use To Late Flights And Incorrect Reservations.
*PAL(Phillipines Airlines): Plane Always Late. But after some improvement it is now Prompt At Last.
*There are some others such as Saudia, Lufthansa, Qantas, etc... which I cannot post them in here, because they contain some politically incorrect connotations.
Happy New Year you all.

Airline names - the real meaning

BWIA* Britain's Worst Investment Abroad/ But Will It Arrive?

*I once asked the (then) chairman of BWIA why they still called it BWIA long after the countries concerned had become independent. He said 'Do you think anyone would fly with us if we just called it West Indian Airways?'
