We had a meeting yesterday mornung that would lead me to think that there will be more CC recruting. The director stated that we need to return to recruting a minimum of 50 CC a month every month. All keep trying, if hear any more definite on numbers I will update thread. Good Luck.

In the package, does it tell you what time to arrive to your first day of training? I hope mine comes soon, cause I'm flying out to London on Xmas day, and don't really wanna leave here without it!! hehehehe!!!!!! I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!!! My plan is to ring BA on the 18th, if it's not arrived by then, cause I don't want to seem like I'm bugging them.

I've actually got another question...I know it may sound silly, but I'm stressing out about what to wear on the first day. I was told smart casual, but that's so broad! What have other girls worn to training? Something like what you wore at the interview, or something less formal?? And how have you all done your hair? Is a skirt ok, or is pants better??

If there's anyone else on the 29th of December training course, give me a PM, cause I'll be meeting you soon!!!

Hi Guys!

Well thats me into my final week. Just Passed all SEP exams with 100% so if i can do it, no one has anything to worry about!

Got some nice trips comming up, Atlanta, Bermuda, Orlando and Kingston. Even some how managed to be off xmas and new year!

Now the problem. Disclosure Scotland. Yes well, thats the first time i mentioned their name without having an obscenity around it. Sent my form off on the 17 Oct, they only started to vet it on the 2 Dec! What the ****? i said. It takes 6 weeks to process it from the day we start to vet the application they said. What the ****? i said. Can i pay more to get it put thro faster i asked? No! They replied. ****! i commented!

So here i am, by the looks of it going nowhere! The thing is, people on the course behind mine and the course behind that have got theirs back! Hows that work!?! No honestly, hows that work?

Oh, if your comming from hayes, bus no.90, 70p single to Hatton Cross. takes about 20-25 mins!

teamilkandone, now that's a funny situation. No training planned? Odd.

What exactly did BA tell you??? I had initially thought that all training was to finish by the end of this year (or atleast, all courses were to START by the end of the year) but I think I saw someone post that they start in early January. Seems unusual that they would tell you that you have the job, but not tell you when you're training starts...... Are you expected to just wait?

And with regards to the post further up the page, I have heard that recruitment IS still taking place for LGW WW fleet. Is anyone able to confirm either way? Welieintheshadows???

Thanks all!

Eddy, I had my interview last week. They called me Friday to say I was successful but there werent any training courses planned, and they would contact me probably in the new year!! I guess I just have to sit around and wait.

Well, my friend, if you can afford to, do it! I can think of nobody better to work for in this industry than British Airways.

I genuinely wish you all the very best when you do finally get to start training. Let me know how it all goes [email protected].

Regards

Eddy

JAN 8TH TRAINING COURSE

I on Jan 8th Traning course and my friend is on the 12th... so there are still training courses in January. It seems like all new successful applicants are being put in a hold pool unil further course dates are confirmed. Anyone on the same course as me?

Hi HeathrowFlyer

I'm on 7 Jan course - it was originally the 5 Jan but changed. Would love to hear from anyone who is on this course and best of luck to everyone who is starting their training over the next few weeks.

Take Care
Lou :-)

Thumbs up

Totally agree with Eddy regarding BA. I used to work for BA on both SH LHR and LH LGW ... definitely one of the best airlines to work for.

I'm extremely happy to be going back having been accepted for a course on 24th December.

Anyone out there on the same date???

Good luck to everyone applying!!!!!

I echo Eddys sentiments ... if you need help let me know.

[email protected]

Cheers!!!

Those of you who have January start dates, when did you have your interviews? Has anyone else not got a start date yet?

I got job too, but placed on hold until course is available.

I am fingers, legs and everything else crossed for LH LGW, as ideally I want to commute rom up north. If I am offered SH LHR/LGW I will take it, but do any existing BA crews commute on Short Haul and how easy is it? Where do you stay when in LON? Can you put your name down for LH?

I would appreciate if anyone can give me a 'typical' roster at BA SH!

This will be airline number 9 now and hopefully one where I can atlast fly the world and spend my last years!!!

Well Done To All

I hope that it works out for you all at BA during these difficult times for the company and aviation in general.

For all those people looking for accomodation in London may I suggest the brilliant website

thegumtree.com

Then look under accomodation

Plenty of places all over London so you don't have to live in the sink holes that are Hayes, Staines, Hounslow etc and only hang around with other Airline folk (how dull!)

For those that don't know London LHR is easy to get to by Tube from all over London as it is at the end of the Piccadily Line.

As for commuting why bother spending all your time trying to get on that SBY flt when you could be clubbing, shopping etc in London.

Good luck

And welcome to London

Maximillian
