Maybe those rumours about them getting TravelCityDirect back are true?

Heard this rumour the other day too.

Any ideas why? AIr Atlanta performance or has Stoddy cut the price?

Will it be LGW and MAN?

EAAC will probably have to pay off a few bills first of all, like the Sanford Airport Authority, Alpha Catering, Sandford aircraft cleaning company and probably quite a few others in the USA.

Plus anything due to the LGW and MAN airports.

So the rumour is probably untrue.

Angel

I cannot see EAAC/EAL/SKYBUS/(+whatever the fashion is) getting many good contracts what with the two aircraft they were using on the Milan contract AOG the engineering Manager leaving at the end of the month there is not much infrastructure to keep it going bigger and better Company's have fallen in the past British Eagle,B-Cal, (although it was classed as a merger) Laker, the list is endless so I cannot see this "TRAMP STEAMER" of the sky lasting to much longer

EAAC are not recruiting, and if they were can you really see anyone going there with all this bad press they have been having over the past few months?

The Travelcity Direct aircraft belongs to Air Atlanta and is used primarily for the UK to SFB routes.

Air Atlanta have secured the Malaysian Hajj contract so I can't see EAAC recruiting for that, and as Jason King has rightly pointed EAAC do not have the infrastructure to continue flying thier 747's. And as Havana has mentioned, there is far too much money owed to people by EAAC and I doubt very much that these companies would do business with EAAC again. The crew that are out in Italy doing the Volare in Milan have all been told they are not being kept on by EAAC when they return to the UK.

Remember EAAC is a cowboy outfit, run by an Austrailian who's only interest is himself, and his toy car "Minardi" team. I think that by now people in and out of the industry know that Stoddart is not at all capable of remaining true to his word and he has lost the respect that he once had.

Whether Travelcity Direct are happy or unhappy with Air Atlanta is pure speculation, they have invested quite alot with Atlanta and I doubt very much that they with sever all ties with them after 6 months. In Atlanta's defence, they maybe a very similar outfit to EAAC but they have been in the industry a hell of alot longer than EAAC and therefore they must be successful at this whole being an airline thing, don't you agree? Especially with the ties with Excel that they have.

December 1st will see two Air Atlanta Europe B747-300s operate for Travel City, one at LGW and one at MAN.

Both aircraft are coming from Corsair in a 580 seat configuration - this will be changed to the Travel City spec, and will most likely seat approx 520 pax.
Both aircraft will receive full Travel City identity.

The aircraft thats coming from Corsair, you said it has 580 seats.

Can any boeing 747 hold so many seats? How many seats are in each zone?

I had never said that eaac was back in business, i only said that "LOOKS LIKE" they are back in business, and if you see the icon at the end of the post its not a happy one.
I am in the same boat as you and many others, just want what they own us.
Lets keep fighting and get that B D out of business for ever.

Sad to say but I think EAAC is about to join the list of expired airlines. I doubt that we will get the monies owed to us either.

I wish the sest of luck to those still there.

As Havana says, It looks like EAAC are about to join the list of expired airlines, I wouldn't hold out any hope of getting any more morey than what we already have had. Yes we are all upset at what has happened and how we have been treated, We have all had some great times there but it is time to move on. Don't expect to get any more, I'm not giving up on the situation, I'm being realistic about it.

London Jets & Havana

I know you are realistic, but we have to fight untill every one in this planet will be aware of what the managment of EAAC and PGS did to us, we cant let this people to be part of the airline industry.

In all fairness I don't think there is all that much we can do no now. As I have said I have moved on, I am in another job and enjoying it. If I get anything else from the ashes of this company then it will be gratefully received and in the meantime I have a tribunal to look forward to as well. Other wise, if you have done much investigation into what PGS has done, then Legally we can't do naff all about it. Morally what he has done is wrong and the way he has gone about it is disgraceful but it is a question of liking it and lumping it I'm afaid.

I wish you the best of luck in what you are doing now and if you want to keep this debate up then PM me and I'll be happy to go into alot more detail with you.
