Tips and advice
Hi Airhostess dream...
If you read through all the posts most of your questions should be answered. I read them all before my interview and i got the job!! As you read through there are updates on how the interview process has changed, but to be honest its not far off the first post which explains everything. Also i thought i would get weighed and my height checked, but on the day neither of these happened so i suppose they also change the format slightly depending on whos recuiting!
Best of luck tho, and my top tip for you would be SMILE... lots!!

Hi Everyone...
Got a few questions for you! Just interested to know...
1) What happens at the Virgin medical, and when does it take place??
2) The questionnaire we have to fill in and return says they 'may' contact your doctor for a medical report. Why do they not always contact your doctor, under what circumstances will they contact your doctor and if they contact your doctor do they write a specific report on a specific concern or just a general report based on your medical history and overall health to the Virgin doctors??
I have eczema and im concerned this may be a problem!?
Any info anyone can give would be much appreciated... thanks!!

OzyOs... my back up plan
Hi! OzyOs... trying to reply you for many times but it doesn't process! SOrry!
Money wise, I should not let go my work in CX, but I find something more interesting.
You are not being negative... your concern is just realistic! Indeed, if Virgin turns me down this time, isn't it good in another sense that I am obliged by faith that I will pursue another kind of amusing life?
Fairly enough, when my friends and schoolmates furthered their studies in Uni, I was flying around with Cathay Pacific to see a lot, I earned so much money and experience. If Virgin doesn't choose me, I will go for another adventure. I am going to sit for Korean and Japanese Proficiency tests this year, probably going to University next year.

Hi Jam,
Minimum age is 19. No upper age restrictions any more. This is now illegal - so Virgin has had to drop it.
Age of the crew really varies, from what I see myself I estimate the average age of a new joiner is early twenties, though you do see some 19 / 20 year olds joining, and also some in their 30's, 40's and even 50's.
We did an average age competition on a recent MCO I operated, and the answer was 29. Though this figure included 3 ancient wrinkly old flight deck.
I don’t believe there are any male cabin crew of Indian origin at the London base, though there are a few Indian origin females. In any case, regardless of whether there are or aren’t, you would be more than welcome as there is no difference at all. Crew from Virgin come from all walks of life and all backgrounds, and everyone (usually) gets on very well!
Virgin has bases in Delhi and Mumbai where all the crew are Indian nationals.
Hope this info helps!

Virgin Boi
Thank you very much for the info.....it is very useful. I am waiting for my application to come through so i can apply. Two other things, do you know roughly what the male to female ratio is in for CC and when you say virgin have bases in Mumbai and Delhi, are you saying they have CC based there or that virgin fly to these destinations.
Many thanks
Jam
