We have integrated Meebo Chatroom into PPRuNe:

Features:

1) Only registered users are allowed to participate

2) Your user account will be automatically recognized in the room

3) Profanity filter: This feature blocks the display of profanity to the entire room, but not to the user from which the word is originated.

·Meebo maintains an extensive list of “profane” words and terms

·Since abusive users do not see when they are filtered, they are less likely to use “pseudo-profanity” to circumvent the filter

4) User Moderation: empower the community to keep Meebo Rooms safe

·Each user can warn other users, to a maximum of six warnings

· An abusive user will be banned from a room upon receiving a certain number of warnings

·The number of warnings necessary to be banned fluctuates depending on the traffic in the room

5) Aggravation Filters: Meebo also regulates conversations by removing "aggravating" actions that are commonly seen in chat rooms:

·Replica messages sent consecutively are not displayed to the room as a whole - only the first message will appear in the chat dialogue. This prevents people from 'spamming' the room with a repetitive message.

·A user can only type a certain number of successive messages before another user sends a message
