Basic question.. How does one become a flight attendant in America?
I've done research, and all I can find all the qualifications to be a flight attendant. When I go under 'careers' or 'employment' on American airline websites, there are no flight attendant positions available, let alone hardly any positions at all. I understand there's probably a lot of applicants waiting to be interviewed... so I don't see them ever listing a Flight Attendant position.. so if anyone has any advice on getting my foot in the door, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I meet all the requirements, by the way. I've had two years of college completed, a high school diploma, customer service experience, and I believe I have the 'clean' appearance they are looking for with a genuine interest in travel service. Thanks for the time. |

Those are not US-based though, I believe the OP wants to know how to be an FA for a US airline, based in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong...
