Sounbulah Building, Karama

Hi anyone heard of Sounbulah Building, Karama? If so, what's it like?

Thanks for your help!!! :ok:

Why do you assume that we don't do anything for ourselves? I, for example, have already got over 50pages in word documents about the interviews, with all the information i could get from google, pprune and cabincrew, plus a ton of bookmarks saved.

but yeah... it's easier to assume the worst about somebody.
congratulations for emirates and i hope to see you in dubai :O

Hi Amanda, google it, you will find the location. My friend who is already flying lives in this Building, they have an amazing pool on the roof, very, very nice, I have seen a picture already :-)

Seja

Seja thank you very much! Yes I googled it but couldn't find much (as in pictures) from it, but it seems to be very close to the airport :):):)

I found a few pictures and yes the pool looks AMAZING!!! So happy! :ok:

If you've done the research as you say, then I can't imagine why you'd need to ask all over again. I just see it over and over. If you went off and looked for yourself, good on you. The FI questions are STANDARD INTERVIEW QUESTIONS.

Anyone looking for them on Google can find them. Honestly it's better to only have a general idea rather than knowing exactly what the questions will be, otherwise you risk coming off over-rehearsed (or worse, fake). Sure way to fail the FI.

The key is, knowing YOUR experience and examples you can give about customers. One of the biggest mistakes my mother (who works in HR and does masses of interviews for all sorts of jobs) says she sees is people fumbling around because she didn't ask the questions they expected. It might happen that way in the FI, and the ONLY way to pass it is to KNOW YOURSELF. The actual questions are of secondary importance. I believe this is where a lot of people fail; they get TOO focussed on details. Yes, some detail is good, but too much can jsut kill any spontainety or "spark" that you might otherwise give and which would be attractive to an interviewer.

Thanks for the piece of advice,

Actually I'm a perfectionist and sometimes I do get all wrapped up in details :p but it makes me feel more confident if I have a general idea on what to expect. For example, I did take a look on Samantha's questions and indeed, I already had almost 80% of them saved and figured out in my PC.

Just wanna tell you to be patient and don't worry as long as you didn't receive the rejection email!!
i've been waiting for 03 months before i get my golden call!!
i know how it feels, but you have to wait.

irina1987 7th Oct 2010 16:31

I'm gonna have a thoracic x-ray next week so I can know if it's best to quit from now ...
I'm so low about the whole scoliosis thing, I think mine is over 30*, this also means i'm not suitable neither for EK, neither to attend the Qatar OD in my country on the 23th.

I will apply also for Royal Jordanian and maybe Etihad next year. I dont' know about their scoliosis requirements.
So, what left to do is to prepare myself for the final interview with WizzAir and hope for the best...:sad::sad::sad::sad:

Seja

Hi Seja!

I forgot to ask, did your friend say by any chance how many people live in the Sounbulah Building and how many bathrooms? 2-3 people/apartment and each has own bathroom or share etc...

If not totally fine, I'm just curious! haha ;)

Not long to go for you now!!! :ok:

Seja 8th Oct 2010 05:41

AmandaUC

Nope, I have NO idea, and she is so busy I assume I will have an answer when you're already there hahaha... She just said the appartements are really nice, own bathroom, but not if she's sharing with one or two mates!

Hey Everyone

Thank you all for your input. It's great to see the convo in here. Can someone tell me if the status "approval in progess" a good thing. I am kinda antsy. Thanks!

SalvadorS 8th Oct 2010 08:09

Gallery and Agosarg

Gallery there are so many questions to answer that maybe some of us do
no have the time to reply them.

Besides i find your questions of common sense. First shave yourself. A
fresh and clean look is always a better look. About your exp, who knows,
i got to know people from differents backgrounds, lawyers, students,
people that work at customs, optical tecnicians, myself a biotechnology
student. Go figure.
Maybe you are to young, it is possible. But some people got hired at 21
with no experience. Try with the clean and shaved look and do not lose hope.:ok:

Agosarg
Have faith, and wait. Having approval in progress is a good sign. Someone is reading it at least i guess. But there is not a time table that you can follow with Emirates, they may take 2 more weeks to change your status to You will be contated soon by..... Or i could happen tomorrow. Also be aware that some people got their rejections mails with this status. I do not want to crash your dreams but be prepared for the worst. I have faith in you, and faith is what kept me going knowing that i would get my GC.

It has benn just a bit more than a week after my FI, and anotehr guy that was also in the recruitment process with me got his status changed on the Emirates career page to "You Will be Contacted...", but its strange cause its only been a little more than a week. My application hasnt changed, it even still says "Applied". What could this mean, so soon and his status changed???
