I recently attended an assessment day in Melbourne, my background checks have all been cleared/approved (green tick) and my references have been done. It’s been a week since and I’m wondering how long till my medical? Does anyone know or have been asked by QF to do there medical?

Job
has Everyone on here applied on the qantas website when the opportunity becomes available? Is there another website that offer the job? I’ve been looking for ages and can never find an opening! Not sure if I’m looking at the wrong site 😞

My security is all green except for printing.
They asked me for 1st aid, rsa and water competency but no medical emails yet.
I've been waiting for 6 weeks now.
So exhausting -_-

You need to do 20 sit-ups, 15 push ups, side plank each side for 30 seconds, 10 squats, 3min step up test and your heart rate must be 100 beats per minute. Then you do the waiters bow, lift 20kg and lift 2 7kg weights. Then it’s the usual drug tests, touch your toes, check mobility in the legs and measure them.

Thank you! Im really nervous.. surely they cant fail someone just because they cant do proper push ups
Yikes with that medical they're pretty much excluding anyone who's ever had a back or shoulder injury (which is a LOT of former crew as odds are you'll injure your back at some point on the job)
I had an injury due to a pax dropping a bag on my head it's healed now but while I can lift the required weight to open exits I'm meant to avoid it unless necessary. So the idea of doing all that puts me off. Before the medical just checked your balance and coordination and to ensure you could lift the exits properly. I've never been able to touch my toes and Dr said it's fine if I have always been that way but by the sounds if this they'd fail me. Bit worrying

Security (ASIC) checks were started by most mid SEP shortly after the interview as well as reference check emails. Most are on medicals now. Someone rang the other day and no GS date in sight. Usually won't until they have enough passed the medical stage to start a GS.
