Fingers crossed flytofreedom. I went from reference checks to talent pool then medical, that (talent pool) was last year though so maybe you'll go straight to medical/GS if they'd mentioned it. The waiting is the worst! Yes I was meant to head to training at jetconnect, long story short - they withdrew my offer the day before training was due to start - based on the medical. Virgin have been much better about it so far so hoping it works out this time

Started GS here in MEL on 10 JAN. So far so good! Well worth the wait for those of you still going through the process.

Good Luck to you all!
I'd love to know what it's like Barb. I start in the 24th of January in Brisbane. So excited and nervous at the same time. 👏🏼😬
I was hoping some of the other Brisbane talent pool girls on here would be in my gs. 🙁

flywme, I got an email saying im in talent pool and my status is now under review
so gutted when at the AD they said our start date for training would be 27th Feb! Maybe they know there is another GS coming up or had too many already ahead of me.

I have now left my job and the Feb start date was perfect timing, now I dont know what Ill do in the meantime. I have a degree in a specialised area and so cant just get a job doing that for only a few months.

flywme i will private message you re medical if thats ok as I have a few questions

Can anyone shed some light on what they're testing for in the medical? Thanks!

Medical in Auckland was
Eyesight (including colour vision), hearing, height and weight. Then the doctor reviewed the medical form that you complete (tick box questions about your medical history). A pretty quick process.
Separately the drug and alcohol test.

Hi everyone!
Wanted to post my assessment day as I know how much reading this forum helped /prepped me.

First there was a sideshow about cabin crew role, salary, hours ect. Then we had to get up & Introuce ourself to everyone- Name- current job or most recent - & a fun fact about yourself .

We then went onto a group activity.
& 1:1 interview.

1:1 interview questions:
-If you had to start the job tomorrow what do you think would be most challenging?

- Describe the role of a Cabin Crew?

- Why Virgin Australia?

- Can you describe a situation at work where you have been put under stress & how did you handle it?

- Tell me about a time you have gone above a beyond for a customer?

- Why the career change?

- What are you career goals for the long term?

- Do you have any questions for me?

That's it was very relaxed! Interview went for about 10 minutes! & told we would find out in 1 week if we are onto the online testing!

Hope I have helped some of you girls out good luck!

Thanks soo much for this! Very lovely of you to take time to help us all out. I'm patiently (well trying to be patient haha) waiting to hear when the Adelaide Assesment day is. Received the email about 2 months ago to say I was sucessful, but they hadn't planned a date yet. Once again thanks for this...and good luck on you journey! ☺️

Swimming Certificate

New to this post. I have successfully completed the interview, online comprehension test, and reference checks. My profile has just been updated to request I upload the 'swimming certificate documentation' file. I have not yet received the email explaining what this is. Can anyone give me some guidance?

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear! - I hope you will try again when you can, and I really believe that you shouldn't see things like that as a failure, its more like a stepping stone! You would have learnt from the assessment day process which will contribute to your success in some way. Maybe in something else, maybe another airline or maybe Virgin next time! xxx I'm going to do the psychometric test tomorrow :/ a bit nervous
