Generally speaking, I'm so surprised to see so many people people from different GS's on this forum. It's great!

Flyhigh1986, I'm looking forward to seeing you along with everyone else next month.

Thanks everyone. I am very excited to get started.

@natd - yes I was originally Oct 17, but I got moved forward.

@teem - what's the link for the other forum you have been reading?

Does anyone know if we will receive scheduled overnight? or will we be returning to our home base at the end of each shift (besides Bali and NZ)?

Flyhigh1986 - I know they aim to get everyone home every shift. That being said I'm sure there may be circumstances where you may need to stay over night. But they did say at my AD that they will get everyone home every night

There are a few threads over on cabincrew.com, but I haven't found anything else.

And from what I've heard, overnights will be a rarity, boiling down to one or two a month.

SEQ base you won't get many, SYD you might get the odd international trip or be sent to other ports for a few days but it's super easy to swap out of if you don't want to go.

Jetstar itself is a very 'no overnights' airline but they love the casuals because they are so flexible, can change your duties and roster instantly and they don't have to pay you overnight allowance.
Obviously, overnights aren't guaranteed so go in expecting none but Syd base def get a few but one a month is probably an over estimation- some crew get them regularly others haven't had any in years

I believe around the $26 mark, with no penalties.

Hi petal87, well I am Sydney base and in the day they had two AD groups, my group was in the afternoon - there was only four tables with about 6-7 people on each. But the first group of the day had advised it was a packed room.

They don't have a set number, rather it depends on who impressed them on the day. It has happened that some assessment centres produced only 1-2 decent candidates. Sometimes people look brilliant on paper and their attitude or grooming really lets them down. I have seen people turn up in jeans or with no makeup.

Jet star assessment day 26th July 16

Hey guys!
I'm going to the assessment day on Tuesday the 26th with Jetstar at Syd. Any tips with the assessment day??
I've been to the assessment day with cohbam last week which altara was the people interviewing everyone. They sent me a email that day they were going to do my references and then a couple of days later they called one of my references. So so quick hopefully I find out soon!
On the other hand what should I expect on the assessment day with Jetstar, the cohbam assessment day was pretty layed back only 10 people there. Did a couple of group interviews and the a one and one interview. Finished in about an hour and half..
