Hi! I just got my mum to take a picture of me with a white background. I did a slight smile but with my mouth closed. 😊

Just wondering if Qantas has crew based in Brisbane for international? I saw the posting for Syd and Melb but would rather wait and apply for Brisbane if it was available

Hi Kadara! I've applied! I just did my recorded interview thing.
I'm a bit worried about being invited to the AD since I live in Dubai and work for emirates. Hopefully they give me enough time to make plans to get back (I heard they don't) so I'm thinking of resigning now...I've been here for 6.5 years so it's time to go home anyway. Anybody have any advice about AD for people residing overseas?

Don't resign! A lot of us have been in this process since May last year! Almost a year later and I'm only up to the ASIC stage now, then hopefully I'll be put through to medical and then hopefully be waiting for the golden call! Good luck with your application, I really hope it all goes smoothly and a lot more fast paced for you but unless you really just want to come home I wouldn't resign just yet..

Yes I agree please don't resign, they still have a huge backlog of people who have been waiting since May (some even earlier, like me). Although they may process people with crewing experience ahead of newbies? Still, better to have income coming in while you wait.

Yes internal applications and precious flyers with good references seem to get put first.

Thanks for the replies guys! I agree it is good to have a little income while I wait, my main concern is just making it to the assessment day if I'm working overseas. I applied last year and they didn't give much notice (a week maybe?) I wasn't able to make the assessment day, thus not being able to move forward in the recruitment process. Has anyone been recruited from overseas (ek?) and give me any advice? Sorry for all the questions, Thanks so so much in advance

For those of you who have done the security check, how long did it take to get it all approved?

Hey guys,
I've just submitted my asic application and am getting very excited! Are you any of you sure of when we will be asked to complete the medical following this step?
I'm going overseas for a couple of weeks and I hope I make able to get it done within their time parameters!
