Active Hold
Hello Everyone a big Congrats to everyone who will be starting groundschool this month how exciting!!!
There seems to be a lot of candidates who have been put on "Active Hold" for a period of 12months and will be notified if postions/groundschools become available. Does anybody know of anyone who has been put on "Active hold" before and then progressed to the next ground school?
With talk of Qantas recruiting again in april and possible groundschools starting in may I hope that all those who have been put on hold are fortunate enough to start ground school this year:-)

U.s visa
Hi guys congrats to those who made it. I made the 15feb groundschool in Mel for qf international. Who else is struggling trying to complete their u.s visa? There are no available embassy appointment schedules until march.. :S

Hi Skyisblue. i too am in the same boat as you. I was slightly disheartened to to recieve the email as I know of more than one person who had appplied for longhaul in the past only to put on active hold and never be contacted again. Its hard not to think that there is a possibility this might happen to us as well but im trying to stay positive and hoping for a start for GS this year. ive heard the rumours about recruitment in april however i guess we wont know until that time. I am super excited!! Today my dream came true. I received my golden call to start training 7th March (city tba). I am falling over myself I am so happy! Party night tonight!!! 😀😀

I was waiting on some tests but they weren't meant to take that long to come back. It has all been submitted now though hopefully we hear of some good news shortly.

We have the same doctor! I had the exact thing happen. Was told it was to be sent friday but didnt actually work that day. They will send it in. Blood tests take longer than 2 days. I sent emails to qf confirming I had the appointments just so that they knew where I was up to. 😊

Congrats for everyone who got the golden ticket.
I'm in the first MEL base crew that has been recruited for over 6 years so its quite a nice feeling doing EP's in MEL.
Don't be too stressed, the first 4 weeks will be intensive for EP's. You really do have to focus on study and put life on hold
There's a lot of reading, exams and bits and pieces to learn.
For those heading up to SYD in Mar... Maybe I'll see you guys around HQ or cos-e up there. The first 2 days is about inductions and then uniforms
Don't be too worried about being up there for 7 weeks.... its about 2 days then you head back to MEL for 4 weeks of EP then back up to SYD for 3 weeks of service training.

Hey guys,

I received my medical email on Thursday and doing it this coming Monday (for QCCA SYD). They advised in the email there are spots for a SYD ground school for mid-March. Just wondering how long the gap was between doing the medical and getting a call from QF?
