Congratulations!
I went to the Syd assesment day and still havent heard anything about my medical... I really hope I hear soon! Last email I received was that they are still doing background checks and they will either send info through for medical or put applications on hold..
..Have you heard anything about ground school yet?

Hi My December
I'm also waiting on news from MAM Brisbane based and have done my drug screen and medical. I was the last to do so yesterday, the QML drug screen lady told me. Here's hoping we get to training in Sydney. Fingers crossed. I will let you know if I hear about anything.

Anyone else Sydney based QCCA international!? Done my drug and alcohol screening today and medical tomorrow. Says that ground school maybe starting February. Exciting !

Maybe they are progressing those already flying and/or current Qantas employees first? Then, once they have the availability for completely new staff, then we will be notified? What do you think? Good luck to everyone!!! 😎😎😎

People still waiting, medicals, golden calls, on holds???
Lots of talk bout this 'Feb' ground school, wonder what bases?
Wonder were the gs will be based??? home base or the training center in Syd
Talk bout waiting game but soo many applications, I understand the delays.
Whats a good time frame if we dont hear anything back?

Thanks for the message, great to hear you're also for MAM Brisbane. Oh its all very exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Such a process and so much anticipation! Im hoping for training next month, I think it depends on when they get security clearance as to when they fill the spots, so here's hoping our ASIC get processed quickly!

For everyone that's done their medical, do you need to get a blood test/results from your last one?! I'm confused, one of the pages says "blood test results". Help!!

I believe that is for a test of immunity if you don't have your vaccination records, I had a blood test to show immunity and the medical center sent it off.

Hi.
I went for my medical last week for QCCA - I didn't get a blood test on the day.
I had to take results from past blood test so the doctor could work out if I needed any needles on the day (Hep A/B)? Hope that helped.

Vaccinations
So after not being immune to HEP A and B, had to start the TwinRix vaccine yesterday! Also once the doctor has received your results you still have to forward them all the documentation yourself I read? Hope to get golden calls in the next week or two! Good luck everyone

Hi
My Doctor in Brisbane told me that he would forward the results and paperwork back for me. Although I did read the medical emails in rather the same way that you did. Like we had to do it.
Wait and see I guess. Could be different from Sydney. I am applying through MAM in Brissie. Goodluck
