Security Clearances
Hey everyone!
Hoping someone can help me. I’ve provided a brief timeline of my application process below as I’m now up to the security clearance and I have 0 ticks for my application status. Has anyone had the same issue?
14/3 - Submitted application
22/3 - Next stage to questionnaire
29/4 - Invited to assessment day
3/5 - Assessment day Melbourne
10/5 - Email from Xref reference checking
17/5 - Email received for further details required for background check
3/6 - Link provided for background check
18/6 - Email received had to resubmit
20/6 - Resubmitted check
Have not heard anything and have 0 ticks!
I wasn’t advised how long it could take but has anyone experienced this?
Thanks so much

If anyone from Internal or any current of past Qantas Domestic Staff members can be so kind and help me with answering this question.
what is the differences being a Domestic Cabin Crew opposed to being a International Cabin Crew? (apart from flying inside Australia and the other outside of it)
is the pay different? how many flights do Domestic staff do a day? would people aim to become a International Cabin Crew than being apart of Domestic?
you have more of a life being part of the Domestic Crew than International is what I heard and the contract is supposedly better? (i could be totally wrong its just something I heard)
also if there are other things that I left out please feel free to share if you like!
Currently I have received an email from Qantas saying that they are not currently recruiting International Cabin Crew for Brisbane BUT will invite me to an AD if positions are available in the next year.
but now Qantas seems to have opened up positions for Domestic Cabin Crew FULL TIME for Brisbane base,
If lets say I become a Domestic Cabin Crew for Qantas and while that's happening suddenly Qantas decides to invite me to an AD for International down the road can I switch to International right away? or would I have to be with Domestic for at least a year or so before I can get a transfer?
I'm so sorry for the long message and the questions, I'm just really confused as to what I should as if I should take the chance, go for the Long shot and wait it out for International Cabin Crew or just go with Domestic for now?
Thank you so much in advance to anyone who can put some light on this (long) question, I really do appreciate any help and any advice that may come.
kind regards and big hugs

most definitely I totally agree with you......that's what I've decided to do....I could flunk out on both for all I know......
Although still, if yourself or someone on this forum does still know the difference between Domestic or International I would still like to know if anyone has the time to share.
Thanks for your reply

International and domestic flying are two different jobs in my opinion! Both have their positives and negatives... you won’t know if you like them unless you try!

I also applied around 4 months ago. I have 4 green ticks so far for background check - waiting on 2 more! I am okay with the long process as I have a couple of weddings in September (I didn't realise it would be this long to be honest and thought if I was going to as successful as I am this far - that I would be out of GS and onboard already), so I am hoping for any GS to be offered late September onwards! Ecstatic to be getting through these stages either way

Hey guys, I've been quiet for a while. I completed medical last week which has been cleared and have now sent in requested documents (RSA, First Aid and Water competency). Hopefully not long now!
Crossing my fingers for all of you as well.
