Hi everyone. It’s exciting to hear that the recruitment wheel is finally moving again. - it’s been a long 13 months.
I am an external (ex/current flyer) that applied for QCCA in April 2017. I made it through all the rounds successfully completing my security check before I was put on active hold. I received communication a couple weeks ago advising that I was being progressed to medical stage, and that I’d have to re-do my security check again as it has been over 6 months.
I’ve now completed my medical and resubmitted my security check with Qantas at the beginning of this week. I’m now awaiting results from Auscheck/ACIC/Final Qantas Security Clearance status. - waiting for those red crosses to turn into green ticks are making me anxious.
Is anyone else in the same boat?

A question about the background checks, should I have received an email about this and/or done anything? When qantas rang me to say I had progressed they just took all my details, DOB, where I was born, full name etc. Now I’m worried I’ve missed an email!!

Yeah I got the same call. from what I could gather they’re seeing if there’s enough people to fill up more ground school classes, they told me July/August ground school dates, so I’m assuming we’ll hear soon if that’s the case. Also depends on whether they need more active crew

*3rd of July ground school date/17th August officially an FA and can be rostered on to fly
*Sydney base
*Sydney training
*mainline
My ASIC clearance has been ready to go with all green ticks for almost 2 weeks so if you’re still waiting for ticks don’t stress they won’t call you until that’s cleared. Plus they call you on a private number so keep those phones on you! Good luck, I want you all to get it and I can’t wait to meet some of you on the 3rd xx

I had my assessment day on the 15th June 2017 in Sydney, so almost one year exactly! And I’m external. It’s been an incredibly long wait hey. Are you still waiting for some of those annoying green ticks to show up? HahaJoin Date: May 2017

I am still anxiously waiting for my ACIC result and Final Qantas security clearance green ticks to come through. I keep checking multiple times a day I’m so anxious - it didn’t take this long when I completed it last year.

I’m Melb base external applicant, assessment day in Jul, 2017. Finished health check 4wks ago, got all green ticks in security check 2wks ago but still waiting for golden call 😂😂😂 feeling so anxious. This waiting is killing me

Hey everyone. Congrats to those who have gotten their golden call!
I’m external from Melb base and AD was on June 1 2017. ASIC lights have been green for a few weeks now.
I’ve heard from a current employee that they all put their internal requests in for world fleet which they find out today if they got or not. We assume that means once they know where current employees will be, they can then let us know.

i think it stays open for good 10-14 days!!! Coz i applied mid Feb got asked to do the Hireview video interview on the 27th .. they might expedite the process i think coz the last advertisement was in feb and 3 months later again they want to recruit ...

Hi folks, I did my video interview in May 2017. After a short wait I was told that I was on 'Active Hold'. I wasn't invited to an assessment day just placed on active hold not long after my video interview. I am still on active hold as I periodically receive emails from QF in regards to it.
Has this happened to anybody else?
