Does anyone know what aircraft we will be endorsed on? 380 or main fleet?
I believe the next step is online video, but can't be sure - can anyone shed light on this?
Exciting times!
Hello! Yeah next step is video interview, then assessment day!!

Then....
-Reference checks
-ASIC & Background check
-Medical, Drug & Alcohol test

Exciting

Hey there, the recruitment is for the A380. I have applied for Sydney based. The usual recruitment process is they send an email with dates for an assessment/interview day, these have limited spaces, so it pays to keep on top of your emails. 😊

Awesome thanks so much chicka! I heard it was main fleet, confusing! MEL 380 would be incredible. Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure if it was video interview or assessment day first. Good luck!

The last groundschool to graduate last Friday was for A330/747 and there are a few GS scheduled on June for same. So unless they are mixing them up it will likely be main fleet not A380

Is that for MAM Domestic or QCCA international? My understanding is that QCCA are employed to only work on A380.

Talking

QCCA International. QCCA can work on any of the international fleet but do predominately work on A380. With new aircraft arriving and older crew leaving some groups will be trained for 747/A330 rather then A380. All QCCA out of BNE for example are 747/A330 trained as there is no A380 flights from there.

Thanks so much! How exciting indeed. Good luck if you have applied! do you know how long it roughly takes between application's closing, and the invitation to complete the video application arrive? They closed last week for QCCA, I believe... but no news yet!

I think they are still assessing applications as I spoke to my friend who works at QF HQ at Mascot yesterday.

Hi sjg747,

I did my video interview 6 months ago, but I'll include everything I remember.

Firstly, treat it like a real interview (good hair and makeup etc). Take the time to adjust or add any lighting in your room so you look the best you can on a webcam.

Be prepared for a time limit on each question which counts down on the screen.

As you'd expect from a regular interview the questions are all about yourself, and ask you to give examples of how you have reacted or might react to different situations etc.

Concentrate less on the timer and more on relaxing and giving good, clear and honest responses.

Hope it helps and good luck

Hi Moonie,

Just waiting now for the golden phone call for a July start QCCA Bris base. Was your training in Sydney / Melbourne, and for how many weeks.

Cant wait to get started.

Thanks
