Hey, I don’t think we get offical start dates until we have completed medical and security. Hopefully in the next few weeks! I’ve heard both ground schools are full now! Looking forward to meeting everyone at GS. Is everyone that’s been progressed so far Melbourne base?

Try calling the number you received your progress call from and she will organise a time for someone to meet you at the airport when it’s possible 😊

Medical
Hi all!!
I’m so curious, I went to Medical yesterday, only did the fitness test and drug and alcohol test & hearing test. Didn’t have to do blood test or vaccinations at all. So I’m wondering if we have to do it later on or what will happen?

I had the same thing happen at my medical and I asked about vaccinations and they had no idea. I’m well overdue for all my vaccinations so I got a serology yet done at my GP (it’s free for bulk billing) so if the need arises I will know which ones to get. I’m sure they will tell us before our start date I just like to be organised and on top of things. They will give us plenty of time to get everything done though 😊 are you melbourne base? We might be in GS together.

Great! I didn’t have any issue on the day too. Everything gone well and quick, done mine in just 1 hour. Are you external or internal? I can’t wait for ground school

Congrats to everyone that is progressing further !!! Just wondering what is involved in the medical in regards to fitness testing please??? Have booked in next week for mine just wanting to know what to expect ?? Best of luck to everyone !!!!

Looks like most of the externals on hold have been contacted. Congratulations! Does anybody have any idea on how many were on hold for Melbourne or anybody still on hold for Melbourne but have not been contacted yet? I’m hoping us internals will hear something some time soon as well.

Oh wow! That’s great news. I thought no internals had heard anything yet. Why did you have to do a medical? I was told as internals we didn’t have to do a medical?

I’m external but I’m an ex flyer I’ve done a few ground schools. Always very stressful but a lot of fun 😊

ok. That’s interesting. Are you currently cabin crew in your current position? I was told if we had done the cabin crew medical for the QF group it wasn’t necessary to complete a new one. Thinking if you’re coming from a different Work group it might be necessary?

No I’m not Cabin Crew atm, I am CSA. It’s all good to do it again anyway 😊 Can’t wait till they get back about medical.
