occygirl,

yup i called maybe a week after the online assessment as 1 week waiting was hell enough lol. i could only speak to a receptionist she told me that they recently sent emails around to everyone (so i think a few people call to see how there application is going) to say to anyone that calls to hold on we havent forgotten about you we are just extremmly busy at the moment you will here from us.

That put me at ease! so they deffinatly havent forgetten i think there just really busy.

I agree it would be nice just to hear you that we made it to next stage! WE just have to play the waiting game! fingers crossed though.

That's fantastic missbilly!! Congratulations!! Hoping that we are next!

Monrox - cool well hopefully we hear sooner rather than later! I'm going to try calling next week if I haven't heard anything (I have couple of recruitment numbers I could try) I think hearing something from the horses mouth would make me feel a bit better about the whole situation...

I tried calling the two numbers I have this morning but there was no answer so I will try again later or tomorrow - recruitment is really hard to get on too but I can understand why, everyone would be onto them if it was easy... I will let you know when I do get onto them though.

I'm not usually a stresshead but all this waiting is killing me!!

Guys I would not stress and panic.
The domestic recruitment of late has MANY people going through the system, I wouldnt harass recruitment, they know you are in the system, and they will get to you if you are successful. I know its hard to wait etc, but do know they do recruit for a talent pool also sometimes, and you can be waiting a while sometimes.

Things are busy at the moment from what I hear, and there are only a few people compared to applicants processing things, and all depends on a lot of factors.

Best of luck to all.

DW.

Hey Filthy rich...I think differently but I think Virgin have an issue with age but if the previous poster knows differently, I can't argue with that however my info is differently but nevertheless try and prove me wrong. good Luck!

They can't officially discriminate on age but I think it depends who interviews you...they seem to have an unwritten rule.

You may have read they were sued for age discrimination a few years ago and have recently been sued for discrimination based on a crew members mental health and also after sacking two pregnant woman.

Can anyone tell me what the ranks are called amongst Virgin CC?
For example is the head CC person called a Purser or Team Leader ?
