I agree some sort of correspondence regarding whether or not we have passed the online test would be very welcome right now!!

I really hope we don't have to wait that long too but it could be worse - we could have not got pass the interview stage, at least we know we have progressed through the major cull!

Great to hear from you monrox, feel free to PM me if you want to chat. And of course let me know the second you hear something!!! X

For all those awaiting to hear about Syd CC, don't stress.

The next scheduled ground school was apparently cancelled, so that means a delay in the recruitment process until the next one is confirmed.

Once it is, i'm sure it will be full steam ahead again.

BTW - I don't know anyone that was told you oficially 'passed' the online test. You just move onto the next stage.

Brisbane AD march 22nd

Hi all! Putting out any feelers for others who attended the Brisbane AD on the 22nd March. Did my online assessment on the 6th April and now very anxiously and excitedly waiting. Anyone in the same boat as I am? would be great to hear from you or anyone who knows anything about possible upcoming ground schools

Thank you occygirl. Your kind words are much appreciated. I am awaiting an email regarding feedback as to why I was not put forward...
I believe you will be an asset to virgin and I sincerely wish you the most success. You have the drive and compassion to excel and I hope you remember that at every stage of your journey.
Best of luck to you and to all.

Sorry to say but they might not give you any feedback. I never got any response from them. Good luck with your endeavours and keep trying. I did after 4 attempts with Virgin I said goodbye to them and have landed a job with Cobham Aviation Services flying for Qantaslink B717 crew.
They could see my years of skills in Div 2 nursing and supervising in retail and training and staff development will be an assest to them.

Keep trying don't give up hope you will get there

Mel 3 Apr 2012

Hi There,
I'm new to this forum, and don't really use it, however i was interested to see that you attended on the 3rd Apr, as I did as well.
I haven't heard anything from Virgin, and check my career registration through the Virgin website every week, its still showing my acceptance of the day, with no update as yet.
Keep in touch,

Gee Marly.....now that would be a slap in the face especially as they openly invite you to contact them for clarification...you must have been incensed.
Well, hopefully I may be the exception to that and may have some understanding as to "why"?

As someone said once on here, if you are right on the day then you are in if not then you walk away with AD experience. Quite frankly, the way I feel today I just think that it is all to complex for me and perhaps a different career path is the best option for me as I am sure my value can be assessed differently in another venture.

I am glad you are happy and working for Cobham, I applied with them and they were keen to meet but unfortunately as much as I love Perth I am in no position to move again....I just hoped they may have a base in Melbourne soon, hence I contacted them.

Good for you and the best wishes in your journey, they are lucky to have you.

Newport.
You will hear in due time no doubt. I wish you the very best of luck in your adventures in this process. I am now at the stage where I thought long and hard and perhaps this may not be the career I wish to undertake at 40 years of age!!!
I am not old and have years of face to face customer service acumen and have yet much to offer but after a short 10 minutes worth of interview I doubt seriously that any one can assess one without even going into career experiences and value added question layouts...
But hey!, all good and I do not have sour grapes, just feel this process is a tad bias and not as thorough as it makes out to be. And to those that made it through I wish all the best.
Cheers

Hi everyone
Another newbie here. just wondering, i went the the AD in syd for GS back in the middle of Feb. I done the online assessments and up to the ref checks now. but up until now, there hasnt been any news yet. I've been reading posts that others who attended with me already started v. australia guest service agent training on 26Mar. Am I the only one left out from the group etc? Lol.

waiting kills !!

Hi mla_x,

Have you had your references checked yet or are you waiting to hear from Virgin regarding whether or not you have progressed to reference checks? If it's the latter you are most likely in the same boat as a couple of us who are waiting (hoping!) to get put into the talent pool for the next Sydney GS once recruitment picks up again. If it's the former you would most likely be in the talent pool but I think they would have told you this through an email or call...

Ahh ok cool, had you already got an email to say you had progressed to reference checks or had you only done the online test and was waiting to see if you had made it to ref checks? i.e. not heard anything since doing the online test?
Sorry for all the questions, a few of us are trying to figure out where we might stand at the moment...

Ohh ok, that's good but yeah things do take time unfortunately! If you don't mind me asking, how long did you have to wait between finishing your test and when you got confirmation that you passed the online test? It has been 4 weeks on Monday since us Sydney AD people finished the test...
Also, how did you come across a contact number for recruitment is it a generic enquiry one or a personal one that you have?

Thanks

Ahh so you tried to call monrox... And by the sounds of it they haven't forgotten us, it's just taking a long time to get through them all, especially if only one person is checking references. I'm guessing they didn't tell you how long it would take them roughly? Or when we might expect to hear something? It's not that I'm completely worried about the time it's taking, it would just be nice to know if we are in their talent pool and ultimately progressing whenever that might be. They must be really busy though...
