waiting for GC
Hi everybody, I had my FI in slovakia 25th of january and my status changed to under review after FI. was like that only for week and two days ago changed to
you will be contacted by your recruitment coordinator at the earliest. But they said we will receive the call after 4 to 6 weeks after FI so I am little worried if there is not mystake because is too soon. And I am not 21 years old yet, will bw in two weeks...

Emirates AD/OD Bogotá, Colombia
Hello everyone!!
Is there anyone attending the Emirates OD/AD to be addressed by Topfly in Bogota this Feb 12th-13th? Haven't seen anyone sharing their experiences as i think this is just the third time Emirates will be recruiting Colombian people. This will be my first try and hopefully the last.

Well for starters congratulations to those of you who have being accepted to join us all in Dubai, if your still waiting to hear back then keep your chin up, emirates are known for taking a while to get back to you. I am in my 3rd week of flying and I love it, its definently not easy though. Im living in Al Nahda which is close to the airport and training college, Training was very full on but if you study everyday its easy to pass. Good luck to everyone who has applied or thinking of applying xxx

Wanttofly: About 150 attended the sydney interview. I am a male, so thats why its taken so long for me. The girls i went with had their GCs about 4-5 weeks after the FI.
Toby: Thanks mate, good to see things are finally moving forward. Hopefully we'll be called by christmas... And you on Face book at all mate? would be cool to keep in touch there, especially since we could be heading over around the same time!
Fingerzcrossed: Even if you aren't passing, it is in the company's best interests to help you through it and have you pass.. Think about it. Theyve spent thousands of dollars flying you over there, organising your visas, accomodation, etc its not likely that they would send you home again after all that unless you were doing extremely poor... (ie not studying at all, not showing up to training school, coming to class every morning drunk/hungover, being disrespectful etc.)
I'm sure if you fail a few tests all it means is that theyll have you do it again, but just give you extra assistance in that certain area/s.

What do you say when they ask you to introduce yourself on the assessment day? I dont want to sound corny nor go off the ball. Should I mention my favorite color and tv show? Or should I give a breif of my skills, qualifications and my personality?

Congratulations guys! Must be exciting times for you. Im sure they'll call you back Toby and update us when they do March isn't that far away so lets start the farewell celebrations now haha!
