Unfortunately the 4 over wing exit version of the A319 is no longer unique to easyJet - there are a few airlines around which have chosen the option to have a greater seat number! However easyJet were the first to take it

A friend of mine had his interview with easyJet 2 weeks ago and nothing was asked of him about the airline, just 4 "give me an example of a time when" questions, where you're expected to give examples of when you've either gone the extra mile, taken charge of a situation, managed your time etc. There are loads of questions they could ask, think about some ideas but don't create generic answers or ones you've learnt off by heart. The recruitment guys and girls at easyJet want to see that you're thinking about what you're saying. If you want a minute to think about what you're going to say - tell them. They'd rather you spend a minute thinking about what you're going to say over you struggle and rush and not get the job. They're not there to fail you.

Study wikipedia for a little while however if you're going to learn anything, make sure it's our values and pillars. Pillars are things like Safety, investors, people, customers and operations excellence - values are safety, pioneering, passionate, team work and another which I cant remember. If you can relate to them in your interview you'll be earning muchos points. Make sure safety is your priority in everything you do!

Good luck!

Hi Jayne

I have book a hotel room in Luton at easyhotel for a reasonable price I arrive on the 28th at stansted airport.
On the 29th i try to be there at around 8:00, how about you?
I can't wait!
Jayne for which base have you applied for?
I heard from a german easyjet cabin crew that they give out only seaonal contracts instead of permanent ones. Do you know somthing about it?

See you in Luton
David

hi all, if ur uk based, as far as i know its a 9 month contract which is what im on, there maybe a chance too that ur contract is extended. I trained with crew for paris orly base too and their contract is permanant, dont know if that is the same for all other european bases, but uk bases are 9 month contracts. Best thing to do, is work hard and as good as u can, no sick days etc and that will help to get made permanant if they do decide they need more crew It really is a good company and enjoyable to work for and u work with alot of great people.

The contract is actually until the end of October so it may be less than 6 months, and as you started to work earlier, you have a longer contract

Money-wise, you are much better off on a euro-contract, which means Madrid, Paris or Milano (Swiss bases are on a different AOC). Berlin is UK contract, so you live in the euro zone but get paid in pound-pesetas albeit with a sort of exchange rate protection until December 2009.

UK employment law is WEAK!

Hey HighFlyer,
Always be prepared to go to more than one cabin crew event...at least 10 maybe more until you get one...it's about timing as much as confidence...Depending on which Assessors are looking at you...some like confidence and some like the more conserved...
Some also go of maths more...it just depends on the day...believe me, i've had 9 assessments...girls who you think should have got the job but didnt...I'm not talking about easyjet as i havent been..but each recruiter regardless of airline has their different likes in a candidate...
But yeah just do the best you can... :o)

Its not me its the keyboard! Some of the buttons will need to take a harder tap than others. My spelling and punctuation are fine thanks. If you have anymore tips on what i could expect in the maths test then i would be very grateful. Many thanks again!

Many airlines are not recruiting at the moment so im not able to apply with more airlines. Another airline im also going to apply for is bmi. Im guessing that airlines will be recruiting again very soon as it is now a new financial year. Otherwise i would be applying for most airlines, also with some airlines you have to be 19 and 21 im 18 so im out of luck there. Thank for the advice. Much appreciated. x

Hey Highflier15, it's me Cereal again, (normal username) I think the do it in season...like the charters do around Sept/November...
If you dont get in right now, try Virgin fares and ticketing...or some type of ticketing in college...Travel And Tourism GNVQ isn't as good as I did that one...but fares ticketing is more specific to airlines i found

No worries, Thanks again. I thought id get the information from people who have had the experience. To me its the best advice getting it from someone thats been through it all themselves. x

Yes i know i would really like to work for them and because im so passionate about travelling and learning about the world i thought they would be the perfect airline to work for. I was going to apply with them but they are not recruiting, also im a bit reluctant applying for them in the future because its been mentioned quite alot that they are very strict on applicants education background with their english and especially maths. Im dyslexic and in my GCSE got an F but i resat that a year later and got a high E if that helps at all. But what i always say you will never know if you dont try. So as soon as they start recruiting again im in there. x
