CAA Class 1 medical providers

I will be looking at having my first class 1 medical
in the UK soon. Does anyone have any suggestions or feedback on which provider to use? There are only limited reviews available online for the 3 providers.

I always used Centreline, Horley, for my Class 1 and they were excellent. I have no experience of any of the AeMCs for initials.

I had to go to the CAA at Gatwick for my first UK class 1 medical. Have things changed?

Yup. Almost no such thing as CAA medical branch now.

It's all been outsourced to AMEs. There are a number of Aeromedical providers approved to issue Class 1 'initials'.
