My post received massive views but no following comments, much like this post is going?
After a few days it was clear to me that it was a pointless post as no-one was going to contribute so I deleted it. But not a pointless subject? I cannot see a way back for ANY of these Russian Bizjet operations. They are all history now? A lot of European crews refusing to face reality? |
I think everyone is wise enough to know the consequences and is facing reality! just not panicking. Also they are smart enough to not go into the provocative nature of this subject matter. On the moral side think more important things than us worrying about the boss's private jet and our future from our safe homes with family.

Well I had many years working for Russians previously but if I was in this right now I would be very concerned indeed for my next move considering there are hundreds and hundreds in the same boat at the same time. Yes the existance of those at the sharp end of Putin's crosshairs are far more important but we all fight our own battles too? Keeping a job is one of them? The boss's private jet is now a white elephant and so are the crews, engineers, F/A's and management companies? I am just trying to see the reality here from our point of view?

It is being reported that Rossiya has transferred some leased narrow bodies to the Russian registry to circumvent the withdrawal of their foreign registry CoAs.
I would guess that this will need to be resolved prior to any easing of restrictions from the likes of EASA in flight crew operating aircraft with Russian involvement. At the very least it will extend the mess, keeping foreign crews away from Russian controlled operations, which will impact a large part of the bizav market. |
At the end, it’s all about jobs and your survival as Pilot or Flight Attendant.
Just some quick mathematics. Some sources say, there about 500 Business Jets associated with Russians. Just take 3 Pilots per aircraft makes 1500 Pilots looking for a new job. I would be highly surprised if any of these guys will still get their salary from the owners. If the management companies don’t get their management fees anymore. Pretty sure the wealthy Russians, even when they still have access to some money they might not spend this for the management company and their toys. Therefore they will also go down the drain which will leave maybe another 5000 people unemployed. Its sad to see what a single idiot and his brainless followers can do to all of us. I hope for the best of everyone and may we all see each other again in an Hotel Lounge. |

One fine day the current crises will be over. That´s how it goes - historically. Now, if you´re a rich bastard, do you really wanna face a bunch of new guys flying your wife and kids around the world, just to save a penny at the moment?? Always the questing that UUHNW have to ask themselves (or rather their PAs).. We´re not talking "pleb" rich that charter little bizjets, but large cabin biz jet owners.

Looks like Roman has problems paying his staff.

The question is if they can pay for the toys. Not because they don't have the money, but if they have access to assets abroad. Lots of them were sanctioned which means they don't have control over their money abroad anymore. And due to the cut-off from SWIFT they cannot send money out of Russia anymore. I think that's the main challenge and problem.
The UHNW Russians on the sanctioned list have ways to sort this out. Secondly, but not sure if that works in our industry, it seems that they´re allowed to keep payroll staff paid. Isn´t that what´s happening with Sucker club Chelsea? |
Heard second hand rumor. Luxaviation laid off over 100 pilots connected to Russian accounts.
