Its an employers’ market! There is a good correlation between those who fail exams and then end up having issues in training so I can see the logic.

Hi Chaps, can anyone shed some light on why they insist on an EASA licence when their fleet is planned to be G-reg?

Winged Lion 29th Jun 2021 19:13

The ad is gone now. And so far no news from their side. Fingers crossed.

Why wouldn’t they assure max flexibility, and being an European operation, by having flight crew with EASA licenses.

Why would they base their operation only on G-Reg if it gives problems all inside the EU

They already own a European AOC in Italy dont they?

Anyone heard anything yet from Flexjet just yet? I've heard some people have already been called for an online interview already....

Winged Lion 3rd Jul 2021 18:59

Not yet from my side. Are the one's being called friends of yours? What is their experience? Airline/Private?

Winged Lion 4th Jul 2021 22:10

FLEXJET OPERATIONS LTD IGA Embraer E550 GFLFX

Nothing found for The Netherlands nor Italy under "Flexjet Operations".

United Kingdom registered:
FLAIRJET LIMITED FLJ Embraer E550 GFXFX
FLAIRJET LIMITED FLJ Embraer E550 GMRFX

Let's see what they are planning for the future.

Falcondriver9 5th Jul 2021 11:08

I applied a week ago and nothing yet. Main thing is to have done the best you can and then wait and see. I wouldn't stress it too much as the outcome is in thier hands anyway so why worry about it.

G-RSFX has landed more than 1 year ago for the last time at KBDL (USA) and can not be found on the operator list for Flexjet Europe (anymore)
G-FXRS has landed more than 1 year ago for the last time at EDMA (EU) and can not be found on the operator list for Flexjet Europe (anymore)

I have not checked the Sirio airplanes. But I find it a very interesting company and I'm still waiting for any response whatsoever on my application. Anyone heard anything?

Mercuzio77 12th Jul 2021 14:26

No news. The portal still shows "received submission" but someone reported some pilots have received the call already... This seems very similar to what happened with Vistajet....they simply forget about you...not even a rejection email.

Always the Business Aviation companies, 99.99% of the time, they hire through internal references. That is more pronounced in US but also in EU the same applies. Imagine now... with 4000-5000 CV on their data base.....They don't have the capacity to handle such numbers. Their HR, probably, is not the HR of Emirates, Qatar, CX, etc. It is more of a legal requirement (Job advertisement) rather than a true hiring invitation.

It is an illusion, I think, to wait for a positive reply. Having said that....and even more under the current conditions, when a good job opportunity appears it is always worth sending your CV.... in any case.

Yes, the company looks good with a focus on internal quality.

Let's see if we will get any news...

I totally agree with you but what I dont understand why they should waste their time to create a job advert and our to fill up an extensive application form when they only rely on internal references..HR …what a mystery🤷🏻‍♂️

Most probably, a legal requirement. Maybe because of EU law, you need to advertise the available positions...

Winged Lion 12th Jul 2021 23:27

To be honest I would rather have a rejection than keeping hopes up and just exist in their system. Companies should take some responsibility and finish what they have started. Anyway, now we are getting into a very different topic so I'll leave it at that.

And I do understand by the way, the private jet world is a very hard world to get in but then again if they really want to expand here in Europe I think they should/would be more open to general (eligible) applications, so let's see, who knows.
