Proficiency checks in private operation

Folks can I ask: If you were to operate an aircraft, say a light twin, privately on behalf of a private owner (so not public transport) in UK/Europe, would you have to undertake the same base checks/line checks and with the same frequency as you would public transport?
Cheers

Hello!

I would say: for a light twin - no. Your yearly licence proficieny check should be enough. Things get more complicated when you operate a complex (*) aircraft. Then EASA part NCO applies which may (or may not) require additonal checks. But as I do not operate under part NCO I have not familiarised myself with it yet.

Max
