Quarantine and crew badge in the UK
I read there https://www.gov.uk/government/public...k-border-rules
that Pilots and crew are allowed not to self isolate provided they show a crew badge or ID. What is a crew badge or ID? Is there an official definition? I fly a privately owned C510 . I don't work for an AOC holder. I don't have a crew card issued by the operator of the aircraft. I usually show my pilot license to get airside. In Dublin they would not let me airside without a "crew card". I add my name to the gendec as a passenger (good piece of advice from the FBO) and they let me go airside. I have an AOPA crew card with my photograph on it. Does that piece of plastic qualify for a crew badge or ID ? |
I have used the https://ibac.org/aircrew-card/ for many years. Works well for me.

Thanks for the trick. Unfortunately my operator is not a member of that organization so I can't get a card issued by them.
Searching the web I could find crewidcard. They advertise themselves as Crewcard designers. I'll order one and so I'll soon know whether it's a real business or a fake one. |
As long as it looks important, it will be alright, even if it's a Mickey Mouse card.

Go to a local copy shop. 15 quid should do the job.

Unfortunately my operator is not a member of that organization |
Do you use an corporate flight handling provider?
I had a card issued by Air Routing. |
There is no legal authority for a crew ID card. It is just up to your company. If you are the company then you can make it yourself. ASIC Cards |
