Single pilot ops requirement
Can anybody please redirect me or tell me where to find the regulations that set out the requirements to be engaged as PIC in single pilot ops on jets (Phenom, Citation) and SET (PC-12)?

What an odd question ........
Which Country are you referring to? some agencies have a different 'spin' on the subject Are you talking about private or commercial operations? Start by looking in the AFM (Aircraft Flight Manual) generally all you need to know is in the "limitations" section. There are differing requirements for Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft certification. |
I should have mentioned it, EASA. But I think I found something after some digging in the EASA Easy Access Rules. 400 hours or 800 hours if flying in a multicrew aircraft as co-pilot.

Banana Jo,
Single Pilot Ops under IFR, 700 hours total time, 400 PIC, 100 hours IFR, 40 hours multi IFR if operating a twin. Note 800 hours of multi crew time can be substituted for the 400 PIC time. Refer to ORO.FC.A.250 Commanders holding a CPL(A) on the Easy access rules. Realistically on the turbine stuff the insurance companies requirements will exceed the minimum for the regulation. For example most PC12 PIC jobs require 1500 hours total with 500 turbine. |
