Global 6000 Day rate

Hi Folks,

I'm looking at a possible opportunity but before I make the leap:

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the current freelance day rate for an experienced captain (but new to type) on the 6000 in UK/Europe?

Thank you.

:= There are hundreds of guys, with thousands of hours on type, all fighting for the scraps of freelance. Save your money for beer and hookers.

Whoa mate...I'm not trying to muscle in on a tight market. Just asking a genuine question about a proposition. I appreciate that you guys might be protective of your turf.
But, thanks for replying Purple.

If anyone has a rough idea - I can see from Purple's post there are hundreds of you out there in the know.....

Ta.

It's really variable. In Europe anything between 1000-1500 eur/day. There are agencies that will offer 12k usd for a 30 day stretch. The Americans seem to do significantly better.

That's an honest reply. Some other guys are just negative about it. However, I suspect that you're quoted rate is for a type experienced Captain with more than zero hours on type, let alone prior biz jet experience.

1000 Euros a day should be the Minimum for any Captain on any Global. FO rate is around 800

That's way below market. Never had less than 1800USD...

I'm based in Hong Kong and the rate here is 1700-2000 USD. Most companies do a contract directly with the pilot, meaning no money for the middleman, for the ones that don't there are ridiculous fees. This means companies generally pay 2000 USD, the contract companies take between 300 USD to 500 USD....

Could not agree more. Was payed 650 Euros for Citation XL and that was back in 2010. Do not sell yourself under price.
