NetJets 2018

Good morning All,

I'm sure everyone has their ideal company they'd like to work for and for some reason mine has always been Netjets.

I've had my eye on them since 2008, but after their 1 year on/1 year off scheme for current crew, back when the financial crash happened, there hasn't been much movement in terms of recruitment. It seems that's now changed..

Are there any current Netjets crew out there that can cast a little light on T & C's, roster, salaries, time to command and so on? I understand they work much like an airline and you don't just jump into the left hand seat. I have no issue with that as the whole appeal with Netjets is more about longevity.

I do however have 10 years in corporate. 9 years command and 8 years as training captain. Does that matter or is it always, begin right seat on the Phenoms?

Any info is of interest, including typical recruitment procedures and questions..

All the best

Mike

Never worked for NJ but I know this much, you start as FO and wait for your turn. Aircraft type was in the past at least a bit of a lottery and depended on the daily requirements when you start training.

€56000 salary, 6 on / 5 off, time to command - unknown as not many commands since 2008

you will be 10 years R/H seat in order to get all the long standing FO to the left. promotion is likely to be done by people leaving.

they had DEC positions available on their site a while ago. It was for CL350.

That was for the Netjets Managed operation. It's a different company, different contract etc.
Time to command right now in NJE is AT LEAST 10 years unless the company grows dramatically. All new hires will go to Citation Xls or Phenom 300.
Salary is Eur 56500/yr plus around 10,000 in tax free per diem (*unless UK based). OECD inflation adjustment each year.
Roster is 6 on 5 off. 200 duty day per year less 22 vacation. Extended days are paid at €450/day for FO. There are moves a foot to offer a 208 and/or 204 days a year roster in return for 5% or 2.5% salary increase. Bonus scheme. Private health cover. Loss of license and illness cover provided. Pension is still a bit of a mess for Europe based crew.
All in all a decent package as long as you are happy sitting in the right hand seat of a small aeroplane for the next decade or more. You will work hard over the peak summer months.
