Challenger 604 CBT and Flashcards
Hello,
starting soon with my Type Rating. Looking for a CBT and Flashcards. Can somebody help? Thank you in advance. |
Try Quizlet - iOS app - there are many flashcards and quizzes available, some even produced by Bombardier that are compatible with Quizlet. I highly recommend it.
Enjoy the 604! |
Hello guys can anyone here tell me where I can do an SIC type on CL604 (Not CAE-price to exorbitant). And with regards to the takeoff and landings, these are done in the actual plane ? |
Pilotkid,
Unfortunately your choices for a 604 type rating are CAE or Flightsafety. Which is partly why it's so expensive - lack of competition. If you're talking an EASA licence, yes the landings need to be done in an aircraft. It needs to be the one you are going to fly since virtually noone wil hire you a large jet for training. Good luck! |

Good luck! thanks mate, but I’m FAA license holder, would the same apply? |
FAA is much easier! for the SIC you just need to be able to show that you have done some ground school on the systems, flown the aircraft asymmetric and done three takeoffs & landings. This can all be done by any ATP holder on the aircraft. You then have to take all the documents to a FSDO or find a DPE. I'm not sure if there are any in the UAE.
But good luck with it! |

Since the SIC type is merely paperwork as you mentioned and I may not do the training in the USA, would I be able to mail the documents (8710) to the FSDO?

Did my 604 with Flightsafety in Wilmington. IIRC they gave us access to their CBT stuff prior to starting the course - and then hardcopy on arrival. Again, IIRC I had the option of Tucson and Dallas with Flightsafety. Easiest way would be to give them a call to discuss your needs specifically. Seemed pretty clued in to what was needed - tho they’ve been doing it a few years so you’d expect that. CAE in Dubai or Amsterdam also have 604s, I think, but were more expensive. |
Thanks for the info. You did SIC or PIC. What was their prices like, if you care to share with me cheers |
